  • NPR has a podcast of a show from this tour online, well over 2 hours of amazing music. check it out.

  • Brilliant

  • WHAT'S THIS SONG???!!!!! All said variats are wrong...

  • this song is a medley of lucinda and aint goin down to the well, both of which appeared on the orphans albumn

  • Lucinda/Ain't Going down to The Well

It's a live medley. There's no studio recording of it.

  • fuckin love Tom ..been a fan since 77..Trezpazz

  • lol sore throat is right

    Worth it though

  • This is like something from another world!

  • Thanks for the info Danman917;it's much appreciated

  • badass!

  • There are two songs actually. It's Luncinda mixed with Ain't going down to the well.

A great mix as far as I'm concerned.

  • Anyone know what this song is? Please let me know;I want to get the CD. Tom Waits is excellent musically and he's not a bad actor either.

  • It's from Orpahans: Brawlers, Bawlers, and Bastards

  • Anyone know which night this was?

  • Gåsehud!

  • That would be Burroughs:)...

He opened at Prague with it...a magnificent expirience

  • "Well, they call me William the Pleaser

I sold opium, fireworks and lead"

    Lucinda

  • this guys amaizing unbelivale artist but that shit cant do his throat too much good

  • fantastic way to kick off a show

  • Wow!!! I love this man :0) Excellent vid *****

  • wow this is the best video yet!! I saw him in Edinburgh. He's amazing.

  • what was this song? and has he always sang like that or has his voice just aged cuz i rly like the way he sounds

  • anybody Saw Ghost behind him ??!

  • saw him in paris worth every penny

  • as good as it gets ive seen the best by far

  • Brilliant work.

I saw the first night in Edinburgh and haven't been able to listen to anything since in case it took the magic away.

Where's Marc Ribot? No idea, but Omar Torrez was outstanding.

  • Omar Torrez really was fantastic wasn't he? If you check out the same songs from different shows on the tour you can see/hear the difference in his playing, he got more comfortable with the material pretty quickly--just outstanding!

  • Where's Marc Ribot ????

  • I feel so lucky to have been there it was fucking fantastic!

  • best gig i have ever been to

  • Same here. Only got into Waits a few months before he announced the tour aswell.

  • I still love tom Waits but it was an awful rip off, the sound was terrible, I know he has a pretty 'gutteral' voice but you could barely discern any of his banter and everything sounded horribly thin, €130, the promoters should be ashamed of themselves.

  • E130 x 300 seats = E390,000 per night. If you think about the sheer cost of putting that gig on - hiring the tent, putting it up in Phoenix Park and fitting it out; all the gear and equipment, powering and lighting the place, insurance, paying the staff and road crew, plus turning a profit for the performers and the promoter (why not like) 130 sounds about right. I certainly came away feeling it was worth every penny and then some.

  • Ratcellar capacity is 4000: I still think it was worth every penny; and he did two and a half hours on stage.

  • I was there, twas an awesome gig! :D

  • Song is Lucinda / Ain't going down to the well

  • WHATS THAT SONG

  • I saw him in San Sebastian and would happily have shelled out the money for a ticket for Dublin too if I'd had it. Brilliant.

  • Well done getting a good quality video like that. You had a good seat but balls as well videoing the opening song.

  • I was stoped 10 sek inn to song 2. Started filming again on the last song...

  • @sveisand Thank you, this is the kind of video Tom Waits wouldn't mind being out!

  • What a voice. I know people who hate the "new" Waits growling compared to his earlier singing style, but I love it. Wish I was there.

  • thanks for the post. I was there too:)

  • Great video!

  • Thanx!

  • mamma to the well, mamma to well!!!
