  • We did sleep over. There were three of us and it was warm in their. It was about 40 degrees.

  • did you actually sleep there or just dig it out?

  • ray mears did a big one with beds air howls and everything in 5 minutes

  • Thanks for the suggestion. We are going again this year. With over 10 feet of accumulated snow this year, we should have plenty of places to dig a great snow cave.

  • Sweet vid!! Thanks

A little recommendation though, I usually use a wood saw or something in order to cut the snow a little easier. That might make it go faster.

  • Nice vid

  • Great job!

  • how much snow was there on flat land because we just got a foot and i wanna nkow if it is enough

  • You will need a lot more snow than one foot. If you are not in the mountains (we had about 6 feet). You can make a snow pile and then dig into it. There are some YouTube videos that show how to do that.

  • i know my dad plowed the driveway so there was a large pile of snow i dug into and i just fiished after i posted the first comment

  • we just got a bunch of snow and tomarrow i am going to build one!!!

  • This is awesome!

  • how long did it take you?

  • With the guy on the video digging and me removing the snow from the mouth of the cave it took about 2 hours. This cave slept three people very comfortably.
