Neill Blomkamp directed District 9 and the Halo movie that everyone loves, He was originally going to Direct a whole movie on Halo, but things changed and he Directed District 9 instead. His short video Alive in Joburg was made during the time he was making District 9, thus the story is almost exactly the same, the video that got him as the director for District 9 was the short film Yellow. Thats my little speech on Neill BlomKamp

@Xiox321 Alive in Joburg was made in 2005. When production on the Halo film began to halt, Peter Jackson suggested to Neill Blomkamp of creating a feature film based on that 6 minute short. I know this because I saw an interview with Blomkamp about the movie. I don't know where you get your info pal, but it's wrong.
