Last I heard the F22's only advantage is it's long range engaging capability, and lower radar signature. Which are great, but not indicative of a superior overall package.

Yes, even though the airframe is a derivative from the SU-27, it has new engines that thrust vector, reduced RCS, and other airframe enhancements, and is equipped with 5th generation avionics, and weapon systems. Also consider that in most scenarios, the SUs would also be supported by AWACS, and powerful ground, and satellite radars, and detection systems. I just read that the Russian Federation has ordered a good number of these for the RuAF.

I will say, the Vympel (SARH) variants are nothing to sneeze at, but only have been used against poorly equipped adversaries, and not against environments they were intended for such as the West. The Vympel R-77 doesn't even come close to performing as reliably or successfully as its western counterpart AMRAAM AIM-120, both have dual lock on modes for good measure.

With its stealth, avionics, top secret attack features, it's function is to attack BVR (beyond visual range). It can launch an attack from more than 50 miles away undetected. It out manuevers the F-15, a plane thats never been defeated, F-18 & F-16! & from what US intel says, the best Russian made fighters

I think the problem for the F-22 is that the AIM-120 is vastly outclassed against the advanced missiles carried by the SU-35. Also, the greatness of the F-22 is further perished by the new type of radar on them which is OLS - optical laser station, allows to mark and identify object without inclusion of a radar. Everything I've stated has been based on FACTS and what is currently AVALIBLE. Fact: the US is at least 30 years ahead of its closest competition as far a computer technology is concerned. False: Russian missiles don't have farther range, or faster speed, and definitely not a higher accuracy rate!!! And that can be proven. What's more, the AIM missiles are constantly being updated/upgraded. A 1980's F-15 weapons system isn't the same as one today. It's called advancements in engineering.

Last I heard the F22's only advantage is it's long range engaging capability, and lower radar signature. Which are great, but not indicative of a superior overall package.
I believe it has been foud wanting with regards to dogfighting manouvarability, even compared to cheaper previous gen aircraft.

First, ignorant is believing an Su-35, which IS just an updated Su-27 with French parts, can compete with an F-22. Second, as for not being able to "get Vietnam" is the most common misconception from those who know nothing about history but rather speak before their brains think. The US pulled complete out of Vietnam in 1973 after an agreed cease fire. The south Vietnam fell two years later. As far as the war goes, it was the most one sided war the US has ever fought not losing one major battle!

There was never any declaration of war and "everywhere else in the world" believing that the US lost the conflict in Vietnam is misinformed. Yes, even though the airframe is a derivative from the SU-27, it has new engines that thrust vector, reduced RCS, and other airframe enhancements, and is equipped with 5th generation avionics, and weapon systems. Also consider that in most scenarios, the SUs would also be supported by AWACS, and powerful ground, and satellite radars, and detection systems. I just read that the Russian Federation has ordered a good number of these for the RuAF.

I will say, the Vympel (SARH) variants are nothing to sneeze at, but only have been used against poorly equipped adversaries, and not against environments they were intended for such as the West. The Vympel R-77 doesn't even come close to performing as reliably or successfully as its western counterpart AMRAAM AIM-120, both have dual lock on modes for good measure.

Well, let's see, this video assumes that the Su35 would have a better EW system than the equivalent Eurofighter at BVR - unlikely.
In the close in engagement, it ignores that fact that both sides have helmet mounted sights with high-off-boresight capable IR guided missiles. In the WVR scenario depicted, with the use of those systems, the engagement would likely have been over immediately, with the Su35s dying.
But then, no Russian pilot actually produced this, a clear marketing hack job.

Supporters of the MiG's/Su's want to constantly champion mauverability but thats only a small portion of what makes a complete fighter. The F22 was designed to dominate air to air superiority. With its stealth, avionics, top secret attack features, it's function is to attack BVR (beyond visual range). It can launch an attack from more than 50 miles away undetected. It out manuevers the F-15, a plane thats never been defeated, F-18 & F-16! & from what US intel says, the best Russian made fighters

to be honest, you cant say that the F22 is better than the SU-35, they never had been put against each other, and what US intel says is not nesseseraly true or correct. Its atack BVR is great, but first it needs to get 50 miles in to the opponent, so if it has to fly over enemy teritory its buggered, even with its so called stealth. Also the SU35 can detect any missile launched at it from a close range, so if that missies then it needs to get into a dog fight and then its screwed.

Honestly i dont believe a word you say, u dont even consider that the Russian technology can be as good or better than US. I think the problem for the F-22 is that the AIM-120 is vastly outclassed against the advanced missiles carried by the SU-35. The Russian missiles have far longer range, faster flight speeds, and are deadly accurate while remaining highly resistant to ECM.

Also, the greatness of the F-22 is further perished by the new type of radar on them which is OLS - optical laser station, allows to mark and identify object without inclusion of a radar. A magnificent thing! This F-22 had the advantage of spoting ans shooting from long range, and thats about it, now thats gone too. unlucky

What. OLS? Please. The F-22 radar system is the most advanced in the world and will be for at least 20 years! It integrates all multipule functions simultaneously in real time and can track a target without him knowing hes being tracked! Ever hear of non-cooperative target recognition? Didn't think so! Anything a MiG or Su may have will be immediately detected by it array of integrated systems that the piolet won't even have to acknowledge; instead he can just focus on the mission!

Everything I've stated has been based on FACTS and what is currently AVALIBLE. Fact: the US is at least 30 years ahead of its closest competition as far a computer technology is concerned. False: Russian missiles don't have farther range, or faster speed, and definitely not a higher accuracy rate!!! And that can be proven. What's more, the AIM missiles are constantly being updated/upgraded. A 1980's F-15 weapons system isn't the same as one today. It's called advancements in engineering.

Russians first used plasma technology on ion thrusters which were used to propel their first spacecraft. This eventually led to their scientist accidentally discovering plasma stealth when one of their satellites fell to earth over 30 years ago & they couldn't monitor it's decent, most likely due to leakage. Basically it created a plasma field around the craft which absorbed electromagnetic energy from radar in addition to bending it around the aircraft, reducing it radar cross section by 100x

In a dogfight, all an F-22 piolet has to do is look at his target, shoot, then walk away. It gets even easier bvr! Why is it so hard for Pro-Russian idealist to admit that the west is more advanced. There's an alternate ending 2 this video. The Su-35's end up getting shot down. Unknown to them, one F-22 Raptor was nearby & didn't like what it saw. However, being that the Raptor was more than 50 miles away, this put it well out of the Flanker's range/detection. Flying in undetected, The F22 downed both Su's from about 12 miles out, never having to engage either in a dog-fight. Although both piolets survived, they would 4ever remember the day, nicknaming the F22 the invisible Ghost.

Some fact for you: Our F-22 flew over 108 dog fights agains our Super Hornet (F-18) in different missions/mutiple targets and never lost once! On average, it takes on five (5) F-15's at one time defeating everyone without ever losing. To make it fair, piolets switch planes, results are the same. Based on these FACTS, I doubt any Su or MiG could fair any better & that doesnt even consider the F22's advanced avionics.
