  • @Cosmored NASA did not fake going to the moon stop being stupid

  • thanks for uploading, great video

  • my birthday :)

  • Fuck yhea!!!!

  • AMERICA!!!

  • We were proud to be there to record this historic event in 360 degree video. Search for YouTube: "BigLook360 to Utilize 360º Degree Video to Document Atlantis & Final Space Shuttle Launch for preview of project and sample clips.

  • 7:33 then suddenly... D

  • damn!!! I missed it again...i suppose to go watch it live...

  • Thank you SO much for posting this!! I missed it bc I had to work. Thank you!!!

  • What is to replace the shuttle? If anyone could tell me much appreciated.

  • @buddyjesus1000 Private industry.

  • @buddyjesus1000 _ Right now nothing

The Soviet (Taxi) will be used for for any remaining ISS flights

The rest is up to: Canada, Europe, Japan, maybe China & private Industry such as the X-Plane

  • @ 5:33 - 5:37 something flies across from right to left ? any ideas ? is that space junk ? freaky shit !!!

  • @jezwah More likely flame from the Space Shuttle orbiter's engine. It's normal operation.

  • @th1nk4once You didn't really have anything to defend your "case" with so you decided you would try and downplay my comment which denounces the conspicuous thick-headedness that you displayed with your initial comment by taking a cheap shot at a nationality and accompanying it with a pathetic redirection of an accusation of stupidity . I'm not even American. But I guess I can't really blame you for being brainwashed to the point that you believe that anyone who doesn't agree with you is American

  • @th1nk4once Now I'm just curious. How was the product of a nescient unfounded half-arsed "argument" that is your comment in any way convenient to me? And just what case were you defending?

Seems to me that you were hurt by the revelation that your first comment was nothing short of arrogant baseless prattle which you had absolutely nothing to back with seeing as it was a mere implication.

  • @th1nk4once What a stupid child. Go back outside.

  • THX for uploading..

  • Here’s to hoping for a galactic federation of planets someday soon! *Raises glass*

  • This was a truly great moment for everyone. Although the era of the shuttles coming to an end, these spacecrafts became more than just that; they have characters, which won't be replaceable by anything in the future. So good luck on the return, and great rest for Discovery and Endeavour! All truly deserve it.

  • I watched this live on the weather channel, i had chills watching it take off!

  • 4:53 - 6:15 Hahaha, Whats with the random "D" on the screen?

  • @th1nk4once Fantastic argument. Absolutely flawless. It must be extraordinarily convenient for you that its such a widespread argument, it really helps with the false legitimacy.

  • Why hasn't NASA been building their new space vehicle while finishing off this program? Why isn't their new vehicle ready to take over NOW? Smacks of poor planning and poor funding by the government. Very disappointing. The Imagine constructing these amazing shuttles, then retiring them when they're in their prime.

  • @jazzguitar2010 at the rate the space program moves it will probably 10 years before nasa get their next gen shuttle launched

  • Is it just me or the video got stuck at -00:00:31 ??

    ;)

  • @Ndrew05 the timer did..

  • @Ndrew05 No, they're doing final check-ups before the actual launch. :)

  • @JerryGiesler09 Not exactly... There are not supposed to be any more stops of the countdown clock after T-9:00 minutes, except for rare stops at T-5:00 minutes to resolve any final issues. The reason for the T-0:31second stop is that when the computers were handing over control to the shuttle, it did not receive the OK from the comp saying the beanie cap (the cap on top of the fuel tank till shortly before launch) had retracted. They had to manually verify and give the ok to resume launch.

  • GoPro Hero cam xD

  • well your wars are quite expensive, so there's not much money left for science and aerospace programs ;)

  • So Amazing...! God is so good...! God Bless America....!

  • I watch it live for the first time I had tears of joy

  • Never get tired of seeing these ships

  • Salute!

  • @th1nk4once What a stupid comment. Why do you think people find this sad?

  • I saw 2 UFO's when the shuttle got out of the atmpshere, secondly humanity are not aware of any reason why this is the last time the shuttle takes off. 2 reasons. Project Blue Beam fixing the last satellites & Nibiru / Elenin / Planet X Heading towards Earth. they removed the 2 UFo's that I caught with my own eyes & people are now contacting the news to find out why they didn't mention this . proof it out there now , & truth is coming out. also big first contact Galactic Federation coming soon

  • @MrNibiru10 what is wrong with you?

  • A sign of the times: to get to space, we now have to ask the Russians for a seat on their space ship. Something wrong with that. USA used to be a leader in space.

  • I timed this with watch?v=c5JWLnMfOZY. My god it was so awesome.

  • Sad this is ending... End of another era...

  • what an amazing launch! I watched it live

  • Thanks for the Upload man!!!

  • Ok, embedding fixed. For some reason it was turned off, sorry about that.

  • ufo at 7.51 lol or an astronaut chucked his skittle out the window.

  • although the shuttle program is coming to a close its time for the next generation of spacecraft. enough beurocratic nonsense we need a clear visions and to pen down final designs for deep space travel. This will require innovation in avionics and new propulsion technologies be it anti-grav, magnetic rail, or nuclear powered rockets because we ain't getting to mars with our current technology. time to put some classified tech to good use.

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • Now we have to bum rides from the Russians. LOL. Glad for a final successful launch, though.

  • i have always wanted to see/hear the launch in person. staying in houston it is hard to make it. cant believe we did not get a SHUTTLE HERE. HOUSTON AND SPACE TRAVEL WENT HAND IN HAND SINCE THE BEGINNING.

  • Kudos!

  • Thanks for the kind words everyone. I mainly do Xbox 360 gaming videos, but this event was so historic, it had to be captured and shared!

  • @igxgamingvideos xbox 360 has soviet processing power.

ps3 is like nasa's processing power

  • Great video. But sad... :( I will miss our launches. God Bless!

  • Awesome video and a sad day for the American Space Program. The Russians are the only ones with an active manned space program.

  • nice upload. i saw this live until maximum velocity (arount 28 000 miles/hr). but that was not in hd so ty it was better watching this :P

  • Have a safe trip! :)

  • Well done NASA!

  • Here is HD video of the today's Shuttle Atlantis launch July 8, 2011 (includes the hold at 31 seconds). Awesome!

  • GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! It's sad to think that this is going to be the last shuttle sent into space by US. =/

  • Very nice.

  • For thirty years space shuttle crews have and slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God.

    Atlantis go at throttle-up…

  • Ty for uploading this.

    Im privileged to see this

  • Klasse Video , und das in HD, Thanks
