Well I am tell you that I can't force those sign Language of the ASL and also The Engish one words tell you that God know more of the English himself he is very intelligent more than all of us period.
aww well i have never done sign language before but in maths today me and a few friends were trying it out. i think its a really good thing to be able to do as i want to work with disabled people when im older.. from learning for 10mins in school i can now do the alphabet and a few animals. i will tyr to carry on though
i am in 8th grade, my 3 best friends are deaf and I started learning a little 4 months ago, what's surprising is that I can actually understand this guy.
i just hope next time you'll add subtitle (caption).. im trying to learn sign language, i wasnt born deaf but i my hearing just sort of disappeared. and i cant hardly lip read you.
hey thanks for ptuing in a translation, its really hard when people just sign... and Im trying to learn ASL just like she is so it help when people do that! Thank You!!
How long have did it take you to get to where you are in this video? I'm an ASL 1 student and am going to continue taking classes. I would like to become fairly fluent to help me in my career.
Nice to see you looking so confident in your ASL signing.
i am learning how to sign on the net.i keep hearing the best way to learn is by socializing with deaf people but i dont know any so what should i do??
I actually surprised myself with being able to pick up most of what you were signing...I have a degenerative hearing condition that could mean hearing aids before the age of 30, so I compensate for what I can't hear by reading a persons lips...and obviously somewhere along the line I've picked up some sign language too...great video!
Hi, I am Deaf and I agree with most of what you said. But "inventing a sign" is different than acting it out. A Deaf person will sign, "do you mean (insert word)?" Her fingerspelling IS very clear and YES the best way to learn ASL is thru Deaf people!
I agree with you that acting out something is a fine alternative when you don't know a sign; I never said that it wasn't. What I meant to say about invented signs is that it's better to fingerspell than to invent English-based signs that might insult deaf signers.
i am hearing and taking asl i was pleased to be able to understand most of what you were saying when i get back to school i am goin to post a video on youtube of me explaing why i like asl and why it is intesting to me can i please get some critsicm?
Your signing is great, I start school in the fall for ASL and I am trying to learn some with my own resources. I am in the process of learning one of my favorite songs with ASL. Its a slow process but when I post it will you give me some critsicm on it. I want to be an Interpreter one day and I want to do the best I can. Thanks.
wow your a great sign person. Right now i'm learning how to sign and i was really intrested in it because my best friend is deaf but not me. i really want to communicate with him i know i litle but still how can i learnd more?
Hello, I have a deaf friend and I have attepted use ASL. I can communicate with deaf people but I have a hard time receiving ASL, deaf people really have to go slow and have to fingerspell many words. You have a great video my friend :o) Hutch
thank you for letting me know how my signlanguage is i thought i was not to good my mother has not been in my life so i just remember what she taught me when i get my ged ill be able to go to college and learn moore
With all due respect to your deaf family, ASL does need verbs. It's a language with grammatical rules like any other. I think every deaf person should study ASL just as hearing people study English. If deaf people studied the grammar of ASL, they would understand how grammar works, and they could apply that understanding to English. Teachers of the deaf cannot expect deaf people to learn grammar through English, their second language. They should teach grammar through their first language, ASL.
I love this video. I'm learning ASL and I like to watch videos rather than just look up vocabualry in books. I find it very useful. This is a greta video because it is slow enough that I can (almost) follow it. Others out there on youtube are wayyy to fast or not good signers. I agree with what others have said. Transcription is great and this is a wonderufl learning tool. Thank you for going slowly and the facial expressions help a lot too!
i'm an ASL student and i like these videos its a good way for me to practice in a way. the only thing that i find hard is that your translation is written english grammer not, ASL grammer. in my classes any writted drills or homework is to be done in asl grammer
I agree with arewethereyet----this is great to watch with the transcription and I'd love to see more. I am new to ASL and trying to learn and watching the language in context is really helpful!
Just wanted to make another comment... I think you should make more videos like this. Tell stories, or say whatever you like, and transcribe what you're signing in the video description, like you have here for this video. It really helps to watch someone sign as they would in conversation (rather than signs in isolation) when learning ASL, and you sign very nicely (the fingerspelling could be a liiiiiiiittle bit slower for us beginners though lol). Anyway, just a thought!
Hey this was awesome to watch along with your written translation. I could follow along and pause when I needed to, to read what you were signing. I have a basic understanding of ASL, and this was very helpful, thanks!
can you make a video about places people cango to find Deaf people to socialize with if there's not a wholly abundant Deaf community in their area? pretty please qq
Well I am tell you that I can't force those sign Language of the ASL and also The Engish one words tell you that God know more of the English himself he is very intelligent more than all of us period.
