You're buying into a Hovindism by implying that that theories will one day "graduate" into "facts", and that's just not true. Theories are supported by facts, and they change as more facts are discovered. What I can't understand though, Mr. ThingxHulk, is why don't the Christian fundamentalists just say that God made more people after the flood was over? Maybe the 8 he decided to save initially were the most important, but that doesn't preclude him using his powers to make others afterwards. I mean, presumably God had to perform a lot of other post-flood miracles, such as draining the Earth of all that water, so why not just add one more to the list?

well, may I ask that if you think that the bible, which is the "word of God," may contain some things called "Metaphor?" not trying to insult you, but it seems every devout Christian i talk to claims it should be taken literally, and I think that its wrong to assume that God, a being of such divine brilliance and strength, would be without some of the most beautiful things in literature and language: metaphors and analogies.

After all, doesn't the Bible say that "a thousand years is as one day to God"?....Besides, the Bible has been through numerous translations, each resulting in a different interpretation of an ancient word...thus, we must be sure that we keep context and true meaning in mind when reading the Bible.
