Its not a dead ball nor a no ball. Its a fair ball and can be hit and the batsmen can be out. If it had bounced more than twice, or piss rolled along the deck, it would be a NO ball - ie 1 extra run, batsman can do whatever he likes with it, and the only way he can be out is run out. Dead ball only occurs if the bowler fails to release the ball, the batsmen withdraws from the crease before it is released, or the umpires stop the game for an incident (fielder stung by bee, streaker, ect.)

@kapilbalug runs cant be scored. it is signalled as a dead ball and then a no ball. In the laws of cricket that is. May be different for the ipl.

@Westwoooooooood ipl is played with the same rules as in international cricket. It was not a no ball or a dead ball as the ball pitched only twice. It has to pitch more than twice to be given as a dead ball but still runs can be scored of it.

@kapilbalug I know the law m8! But some competitions can use different rules. In Twenty20 in England the ball can not pitch twice for example. P.S. if it is signalled as a dead ball runs cant be scored because the ball is dead, surprisingly enough.

Ball is considered to be a dead ball if it reaches the batsman after more than 2 bounces, but here batsman smashed the ball after the second bounce so was surely not a dead ball. Same is been told by the commentator in the video
