I purchase it from people. As long as I pay, they bring it to me. I give finder's fees also (No employee overhead).

Refining can be done in any industrial city. There are refineries that will charge a fee. Refine 14k to 24k and sell on ebay for 50-100 over spot price or back to the refiner at spot.

I looked up "urban mining" and it sounded interesting, but they were describing getting metals from used electronics - which sounds really tedious and possibly dangerous.

Urban mining is booming even now and no one's heard of it. I was lucky to find people like Ron Paul, Schiff and keiser. Got out of banking and started urban mining in 2008 and it is crazy booming.
