  • Steadicam is so awesome. That's from a cameraman and plane enthusiast.

  • Thanx for posting this I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't believe the amount of empty seats. it's a shame that people have to die inorder to motive us to invent slash proof tyres. but that's the way it goes. "sigh"

  • like

  • That would have been amazing!

  • I love the shot in the cockpit... all those knobs and switches and dials and goodness knows what - all looked after by a cup of tea! love it. miss it.

  • Looks like the pilots add the autopilot

  • empty seats! what?if only flighs now-a-days were like this

  • Empty seats!!!! I WANTED A GO MUM!

  • Comment removed

  • i noticed alot of empty seats in the coach section.was this due to the cost of the flight or was everybody useing the bathroom??...lol

  • @steve98201 It was an empty flight because of the destination. Who would want to go to London?

  • @DeepThroatYogurt thinking there was HD in 90s- early 2000s=fail. And not being to afford a ticket in Concorde = fail

  • No High Definition = FAIL

  • @DeepThroatYogurt Mate, it is filmed in 1993. Think before you say something? -.-

  • 05:56 hahah

  • @SplashJuze And what did she say on 5:59.

Im shure, it was a bad word - maybe a f*****-word!

  • damn you can actually see the curve of the Earth!

  • @felipetotora no.. that is the wide angle camera lens which causes distortion of the image.. you can see the distortion inside the cabin too.

  • It is pretty disgusting that they couldn't fill those seats. The amount of people who dreamt of being on that thing...

  • One thing I noticed... the planes empty! how much DID you pay for this ticket?

  • WTF were a cup of milk doing closed to the electrical panel in the FD???? Were they crazy??? Anyway, nice time when was allowed to get into the FD! ;(

  • how much did you pay for you ticket to fly return?

beautiful video, I feel lucky to of been in existence when this aircraft was active but I wish I could of gone one it.

  • According to wikipedia major supersonic and hypersonic air travel can create very rapid serious and dangerous ozone depletion and is one reason why it will never take off on a scale of subsonic aircraft numbers. It could literally destroy the ozone layer and that is all that protects us on earth. Enviromental factors are taken very strictly with supersonic and hypersonic travel ideas.

  • @210482fmj who the fuck cares?

  • @TheisFromDkhockey THe airplane manafactures and the government. THat is a stupid attitude. Hypersonic travel on a mass scale has been proven to cause serious amounts of rain and flooding the planet if allowed to happen

  • @TheisFromDkhockey Every Wise person on this planet cares. Unlike you. Even Boeing and Airbus are looking towards a more environmentally friendly travel... We are in 2012 and i am surprised we still have idiots walking among us.

  • @joshun28 I´am no idiot, just a plane lover. So when you talk about your eco-friendly shit i get pissed off.

  • Incredible aircraft ... woww.. 2 mach = 2500km/h !!! oh my Goddd..

  • 1993...

  • @LifeBloodMarketing A Whole New World (Aladdin's Theme) Peabo Bryson & Regina Belle #1 Song in America March 1993.

  • Oowww! This was what I said at 7:39!

  • nice vid, thanks for posting !

  • My first flight ever was after 9/11 im pissed!

  • What's the point in thumbing up replies to other peoples comments? I hate searching their comments to see what they said.

  • How i wish i can step in :(

  • what kinda money did that flight cost u then

  • The worst thing is that it's empty ! GET ME A TIME MACHINE !

  • if you're going faster than the speed of sound, how come its so noisy

  • this plane never ceases to amuse me

  • 4:10 coffee machine? lol

  • What can I say - a different time, a different era. Jokers would complain today that there was not enough space inside the Concorde, but they just dont get it! Thanks for sharing this piece of history in color. Concorde + Pan Am + BA back in the late 60's, 70's and early 80's was the only way to fly. I saw 3/5th's of the world on Pan Am...

  • Good times when you still could meet the pilot and see he cockpit... Stupid terrorists screwed it up for the rest.....

  • @5233959 FBI? Don't ask. Go figure.

  • @5233959 you can nowadays actually !

  • @UkraineStar77 I never was aloud to do that since 2001 again.

  • @5233959 Well, it depends on where you live and which airline you fly with. It is definitely harder in the US that in europe.

  • @5233959 Agreed.

  • @5233959 10000% agree! fucking muslim terrorist! kill them all!!!

  • @5233959 Yah...selfish terrorists, all they think of is themselves... like if they want to die, they could of atleast jump off a cliff...but nooooo, they have to be so dramatic.

  • @5233959 Take a look and my support our right to plane spot video. I would really appreciate your support for my cause.

  • 7:51 60000 feet is considered uncontrolled airspace and space in terms of controlled airspace...

  • steadycam rocks +5

  • curious how much a ticket on the corde cost?

  • @robertk2007 its was 9,000usd return at that time frame "93" b4 she was grounded it was up slightly to 12,000usd, so yea expensive but worth every dime..Loved it all !!!!

  • Wow! Amazing!

  • Hey guy's, i'm new to the Concorde! Can somone please tell me what "MACH" is please?

  • @AviationFan19 The Mach number is named after Austrian physicist and philosopher Ernst Mach, a designation proposed by aeronautical engineer Jakob Ackeret. Because the Mach number is often viewed as a dimensionless quantity rather than a unit of measure, with Mach, the number comes after the unit; the second Mach number is "Mach 2" instead of "2 Mach" (or Machs).

  • @AviationFan19 @LTSwope In more simple and to the point terms, mach is another way of measuring speed. 1 mach is the speed of sound (1236 kmph) anything less than that is .XX, for example, .80m is 80% the speed of sound, .65m is 65% speed of sound, and so on. Concorde was famous because it's cruise speed was 2.02 mach, over twice the speed of sound. I hope that clears it up for you.

    Sincerely, an Aviation student.

  • @AviationFan19 mach 1 is the speed of sound mach 2 is twice the speed of sound and so one. mach is pronounced mok.

  • @itsHeadsUpDisplay no,..its pronounced as mach,...but then again it depends from which part of the vast anglosaxon kingdom you come from

  • @AviationFan19 you get to learn what mach is, but friendly advice, stay away from rednecks....you'll ruin your concorde tour....lol

  • Lol, how can they not think you're a terrorist when you were walking around the plane and filming the stuff haha but seriously, this is a great video. Thanks!

  • Most beautiful & majestic looking aircraft of all time! Thank you for sharing this awesome video!

  • That would be really scary riding at over 1,000 mph and then riding in space. I can barely watch this with all of that in mind. Simply amazing.

  • FANTASTIC! You're so lucky you got to fly Concorde. This could use some background music, like Foo Fighters Learn To Fly.

  • Concorde pilots had the real flying experience..all those manual dials and at supersonic speeds!

  • Camera movements were making me sick. Lol.

  • Incredibly silent onboard compared to the noise outside when it took off !...

  • 1360 miles aproximately 2200km,h...wow its amazing and unbilieve:)

  • how many feet is one meter???please ask me:thanks..

  • @levan100i Google it. ( 1 m in ft ) it'll be : 1 meter = 3.2808399 feet

  • @a44977 thanks...

  • @levan100i არაფრის... :D==)

  • @a44977 shen gaixare qartvelooo...

  • @levan100i 3.28 Feet=1 meter

  • One person loosed the ticket

  • Funny it was among the safest airplanes ever built until the fatal crach caused by a fallen off part from a DC 10 on the runway in Paris 2001..

  • Flying at more than 2000km/h is crazy!

  • ::-( i wish i had the chance to fyy on 1

  • Visiting the cockpit during mid-flight...it's now a thing of the past

  • @VictorYong36 FlightDeck* As your not allowed to call it a cockpit anymore.

  • @VictorYong36 Visiting the cockpit during boarding/leaving is a thing of the past too now unfortunately.

  • Excellent!

  • MPH 1310.... 0,o wtf how fast :O

  • i cant imagine the pressure difference btwn the cabin and outside

  • You're one of the luckiest sum-bitches alive, guy! Trip of a lifetime is an understatement!

  • normally thats like a fucking 7 hour flight or more! wow thats ssso cool! cant wait til they do halo jump flights! washington to london in like an hour!

  • It's all about fuel management to keep the CG in the proper parameters, otherwise she won't fly.

  • A round-trip ticket from WAS to LON via British Airways costs about $690 in economy class and the flight would be about 7 hours with 8 hours coming back. If the Concorde fare was indeed $20,000 round trip, this means one would be paying 29 times more to save about four hours of flying time. $9300 to save three or four hours? Even harder to justify if the seats are as narrow as they look and all airplane food of every class sucks. No wonder Concorde service stopped. Simply not worth it.

  • @RK831 its was worth every penny, beleive me on that one !!!!!

  • Amazing video! But i have to agree with other people that say that it seems to be a hell of a noisy flight!

  • Snoop Dog could never get this hi... lol.

  • Great video

  • man...you really have to hand it to the british and french engineers that designed this thing

if you study the reality of the conditions the concorde had to endure and the ways the engineers had to design this thing in order to safely handle them, it really is amazing

and it was designed in the 70s when the sr71 was still a new thing!

  • 1340 mph wow

  • Great video! You've already flown Concorde, next is SpaceShip One.

  • A cup of tea near all the equiptment.

  • Hope they design something that flys as fast as this. I hate having to wait 7 hours on a plane just to get from Dublin to New York when I could do it in less than half the time on concorde.

  • Old girl .... :)

  • Unbelievable, 3 hours 12 minutes... what a machine! It's hard to believe that today, the fastest way to cross the atlantic ocean takes up to 8hours and more...it's like we went backward all that time :-(

But what a beautiful design and so slim... Even for todays standards I think this plane is hot!

  • oh look... space...

  • what does the flight engineer need to do?

  • @kevini15 controll the engines

  • @kevini15 Basically, control many of the systems: engines, fuel transfer, etc, in flight - amongst other things....

  • i so wish they still used those i wanna fly on 1

  • Real neat, thanks!!

  • I've been on G-BOAA at Edinburgh museum of flight, shame she will never fly again

  • Superb video!

  • ...why is it so empty?

  • My great grandfather was the ambassador of India for US Affairs and flew this thing 100s of times,Oh how lucky he was!

  • Wow. That really is empty. No wonder they had to charge so much!

  • wow!! it was half empty!! Awesome video by the way!

  • This footage is very valueable due to this airplanes not having very many people come on.

  • did you heard the sonic boom inside the plane?

  • @AAVAN No, there is no specific sensation as one passes through the sound barrier. Our captain mentioned that he would nose the plane down slightly as we passed through Mach 1, so as to steer the boom upward and minimize sound to vessels at sea.

  • @ArgoWho Oh i see, thanks for the info and congrats..

  • @ArgoWho SCREW THE SHIPS AND LET THEM HEAR SOME CONCORDE MAGIC lol

  • @ArgoWho what a kind captain for sailors at sea....,i mean oh my god this is u tube right?

  • @AAVAN there is no kind of "boom" or explosion or anything, the aircraft is simply going faster then sound is capable of going, the sound the concorde makes as it flys is then bottled up to a specific point just behind it so instead of hearing the sound before then then afterwards as it passes you hear every bit of the sound in one sharp crack right after it passes

  • @AAVAN ...only if you ran fast enough to the rear of the plane ! ;-)

  • @AAVAN You are not able to hear a sonic boom when you are in the object creating it. You your self is moving as fast as the super sonic shock wave and therefore you do not hear anything different. Just like when you are in a loud car going at a steady 60 MPH and hear a steady sound when others hear it get louder then quieter once you pass (Doppler Effect).

  • @AAVAN A sonic boom also occurs when one passes the speed of sound. Meaning you will literally out-run the sonic boom, there would be no way for them to hear it in the aircraft

  • Brings back a good memory of a flight we did on Concorde from New York to London , the dark blue of space above and the almost motionless flight once your at top altitude is one of my recollections . A wonderful experience .

  • lucky that not was mohamed atta in the cockpit

  • @knighrider100 i know right.. flying 500 mph into anything is bad but flying mach 2?

  • $10K is when inflation adjusted about $100K in the today's money!

  • @exitiummagnum which is probably why more than half the seats were empty on this flight. so unfortunate. it was an amazing aircraft.

  • 60000 feet - 2.00 mach....??? Ohhh!!!!

    My God...

  • 10,000$ one way???? woow

  • i miss the concorde.

  • what a beautiful sight at 9:06 :)

  • This was probably a very good camera in 1993

  • DADDY can i borrow $20,000 to go to japan? but don't worry I will be back for dinner

  • So beautiful. Mach 2 without breaking a sweat.

  • @boettger1 ...and twice as fast. Are you one of these sad acts who drives "economically"? Yawn.

  • Great clip from the halcyon days of Concorde! Very jealous you managed a cockpit visit on your flight!

  • @fbgd Hi there just a FYI before 9/11 everyone that wanted too was allowed a visit to the cockpit, and cld sit in the jump seat behind the captain, when i flew i was informed the queen mother had sat there for her 80th birthday a week prior so they were still excited about her visit up front...was a WONDERFUL Experience ! so Missed ! ! !

  • match 2 is veryfast indeed.

  • tremendo cumplimiento de daniel capitulo 12;LA CIENCIA SE AUMENTARA,

  • ahhh the memories - my flight on corcorde september 1989 was exciting . amazing ! nothing compares to concorde takeoff- rocket power :)

  • you could do it in 3 hours 20 years ago, now it takes 2.5 times the time. i can't believe this shit

  • great video...thankyou for posting.

  • no wonder the poor girl went out of service! Only about 15 people on it!!

  • Thankyou so much for putting this video on the public record

  • MACH 2 OM FUCKING GOD!!!

  • Just amazing. Very grateful for the perspective from bow to aft and return. I love the incredible view of the dark sky in the afternoon. Thanks for sharing!!

  • if the plane is noise buy the bose nose canceling headphones

  • @gustavosuarezvideos nose canceling? lol

  • @KroMeInStInCt hahahahahaha

  • Thank you for posting this .

This must have been the most impressive experience . .wow . .i.ve never been on a Concorde but wow . .u are one of the fastest and highest human beings every . .thank you . .wow . .i would trade my life for a flight in the Concorde . . .amazing and wow . . .thanks again . .

  • Wow!! Mostlky impressed!!! I am never sounds like a concorde before.

  • Thank you very much . You shared one of unforgetable moment oboard you had

  • Noisy...what was was the in-flight movie?

  • @thebestsportonearth -- The flight was too short for an in-flight movie. I assume your comment was in jest. And noisy? Not really considering the Concorde used 4 times the fuel that a 747 would use on the same route.

  • @ArgoWho From outside it is crazy when it takes off I was on the runway in another plane in LHR when it took off ahead of us and shook our plane to shit, would have love to have flown on it

  • @lilblitz It feels like it sounds..... I was thrown back in the seat (you can probably hear me say "GAWD!" on the tape. I can imagine that anything nearby would be shuttered!

  • the trips were $10,000 one way back in the mid 90's

  • They shouls of filled those seats with dicount prices like $2500.00 a seat.

  • wow such an empty flight

  • Mom, im going to Japan. I'll be back for dinner.

  • Great filming thank you for posting it on You Tube. What a lovely plane!!!

  • Many empty seats. No wonder the concorde wasn't profitable anymore. I'd love to see a new type of high speed airplane with all the features (entertainment) you have on normal long-distance planes now. Also the cockpit looks old-fashioned. But nice video!
