I have a 07 accord V6 (J30A5) AT okay, haha and yup Civic Si (k20Za3) cant keep up at all, The only advantage for the civic is he's lighter and MT, but I love love love my accord, and with the class of an accord coupe, you know its not just a civic hehe

numpers say civic 7.2 sec 0-60 with good driver, accord is 5.9 with MT. Thats a big leap, so either the accord is auto, or driver sucks

I have an 06 accord v6 6speed and he kept up with me pretty will till i had an asshole truck cut me off. the civic pulled up next to me and gave me the finger, he was pissed. Accord v6's stop so many cars. I've even beaten an sti subaru. though, i think that the subaru driver was just shitty

@Jackriley8. That depends on what you are looking for. Off the line speed and instant throttle response, the Super Charger is the stronger option. If you are looking for top end and over all power a turbo or twin turbo are going to work better. Only down side to turbos is they are not as responsive as a supercharger. They take time to spool up. But once they do...its over.

A honda accord lx v6 wieghts in a t 3320 , and a civic si 2 dr 2990. The ex is almost 250 lbs more @ 3470 makes a huge diff plus the number are there stock but we all know they have hondata and a CAI/H/E SO THIS ARGUMENT IS POINTLESS.

@fernandonj89 Well duh an STI or EVO is faster and more of a performance car, comparing to the si however is not apples to apples, they cost nearly 10k more to start with, and the si is more of a fun commuter car than anything else. The Honda however (stock to stock) will outlast the STI or EVO, and cost less to maintain, including insurance and gas milage.

Stock for stock a 7th gen Accord V6 coupe MT should beat an 8th gen Si. 2 possiblities why the Accord might lose, in this video the Accord is auto which doesn't seem like it. Second, the Accord looks stock when the Si is modded, a modded K20 VS stock gen 7 Accord is close, if the Si has I/H/E then i'm not surprised it'll come out on top, but not by much.

That's the 7th gen Accord. It makes 240hp/212tq (crank). If it was 6 speed it should have no problem beating ANY stock Civic SI, even modded ones. Given equal drivers, Civic would need bolt ons to keep up to a stock 6MT Accord. Nice run tho.

A V6 Accord makes between 240-250hp not 190... it uses the 3.5L J35Z2 V6... I am not disagreeing with you just saying the V6 has a lot more hp than the civic... Which I think was the initial argument...

No, go look up 0-60 times on like Edmunds...even a AUTO accord v6 will beat the manual SI. The accord coupe weighs about 3265-3358 lbs while the civic si coupe weighs: 2,886 lbs give or take.

An '05 Accord Coupe V6 6spd will dust a an Si. Any other type of Accord will need a less skilled Si driver to beat it. But the Accords are governed @ 130 so get him b4 that.
