@mjmenjivar I have people who live on my street who are Evangelical Fundamentalists. They are such "law keepers." They condemn Christmas and Easter as pagan holidays like Jehovah's Witnesses do. They claim they are not biblical holidays and were created by the Catholic church in the 4th century to coincide with the pagan holidays of the Roman pagan religion. They wouldn't allow their kids near people's houses when they had Christmas lights up because "the devil inhabited their homes."

When I was growing up, my sister was playing with their son and he did something bad to her and lied about what really happened and told her, "I forgive you." Read the parable of the sheep and the goats, Matt 25:31-46. This is just some of scripture that proves we are not saved by faith alone, besides the obvious James 2:24 that says we are not only justified by faith alone. (faith without works is dead) but that doesn't mean we are saved by only works, or saved by only faith...we are saved by God's grace through faith and works.

They claim they are not biblical holidays and were created by the Catholic church in the 4th century to coincide with the pagan holidays of the Roman pagan religion. They wouldn't allow their kids near people's houses when they had Christmas lights up because "the devil inhabited their homes."

When I was growing up, my sister was playing with their son and he did something bad to her and lied about what really happened and told her, "I forgive you." They don't go to church and they have their own little services at home because churches today have "gone apostate." I agree with them on that but on a different degree. And yes, we must pray for them dearly; I have nothing but deep love for Fundamentalists and I'm sure you do too which is why we must lovingly but truthfully correct them. If they die, they perish forever, only by coming to/ returning to the church and giving up their self righteousness and looking at the righteousness of Christ will they be saved.

the way I wrote my argument in stating that Jesus is not God was wrong in that way. Because he came from God. And to deny that would be to deny all of God's miracles. I apologize for that. I only meant to state that they were two separate entities.

Being in a certain type of church doesn't make one love Jesus more. Going to church doesn't guaranty salvation. Accepting Christ as Lord and Saviour does. Living the lifestyle of love for others shows your love for Christ. When one dies and meets Jesus, I don't think Jesus would ask which church you were in. I think He would ask, "Who do you say I am?".

Accepting Jesus means, accept what HE established and what He ordered us to do and believe.

@mjmenjivar No i dont believe the Bible came down from heaven. I believe that the people who wrote the books and formed them in to 1 book and called it the Bible. Men wrote down the events inspired by the Holy Spirit, From different places. Like genesis, Moses wrote it inspired by Holy Spirit (of course) etc.

Again, there's no point, Allah said He is the ONLY lord and creator of everything and the Holy Qur'an confirms it. The jews don't believe Jesus is the lord. Indians will tell you that Khrisna is lord. Let's put apart the other religions, and now tell me why do you choose to believe that only one of the 2000 divinities is the right lord. I'm atheist and because of so many religions on earth I choose not to believe in any of them. I don't believe there is a God that watches over us and judges us after life, I don't believe in hell and I don't believe in sins; it means I don't have to go to church and I don't feel guilty when I blaspheme.

Its sad to say, these other "churches" never had the opportunity to grow CULTURE. Imagery and depiction is part of human society specially during ancient times, We existed for 2000 years and some growth of culture is inevitable. Yes, some DO bow down to Images of Jesus and Mary but we do it in the fullness of faith and FYI we NEVER worship these statues, Its typical claim of any protestant churches because they never had any history unlike Catholicism.

You´ll not find it,!! but yes it is there, James 2:24 "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only" exactly to say the opposite of what you believe. If you understand this one passage of James, you´ll understand why We are Justified By Faith because God does not owe salvation to No One because of their works.

Read the parable of the sheep and the goats, Matt 25:31-46. This is just some of scripture that proves we are not saved by faith alone, besides the obvious James 2:24 that says we are not only justified by faith alone. (faith without works is dead) but that doesn't mean we are saved by only works, or saved by only faith...we are saved by God's grace through faith and works.
