I've watched this a couple times trying to figure out what Daigo computed in his head as the best way to win. I think he realized that the Sagat player had no real corner game, so he just kept him in there.

I like how Daigo is always trying to build meter, especially for the last hurricane kick to get JUST enough meter for the EX SRK chip damage.

Last night I was practicing on Ryu and was trying to do some of the stuff that Daigo does. That forward fierce into crouching medium punch is really hard to pull off but does mad damage.  I don't think I can imagine how much he practiced to pull it off easy which is reason enough to respect this SF pro ability.
