  • except its not gonna be much help when its cloudy, when there's a storm or at night..I mean it's all well and good if you get one for free like they did. but I'm sure that things expensive as hell

  • @The80sKickAss

What's the point of looking at all the negative???

  • @InsaneNuYawka This video states all the positives but I don't see you complaining about that. It's called balance. When it comes down to it, it's just not a practical solution.

  • @The80sKickAss

it is practical. The sun isnt going anywhere,EVER......Petroleum and other resources are finite and the environmental, political, and economic cost of them make them the most asinine form of energy we've forced upon ourselves.

  • @InsaneNuYawka Yes, they are finite and yes they do come with a cost but at least petroleum resources still work when the sun goes down. Isn't that when we need light the most?

  • @The80sKickAss

This is the exact same argument about solar powered cars. You swap to electric power when the sun's blocked by a thick thunder cloud or when it's dark. Along with, it is a library. Libraries aren't notorious for opening at 5am while it's still dark, or closing at 11pm past dusk. I doubt this one will now that it has this system. And as far as cost goes, it's setting up mirrors and tubes, then paying for work and supplies. Continued on next post...

  • The most expensive pieces are either the part that gathers the the light, or the chandelier part that distributes it. If nothing else, you could get an engineer of considerable talents to replicate this with similar results. Bouncing light around a room is not a very difficult concept to do.

  • Este es un paso en el largo camino que debe seguir el hombre para la correcta utilizacion de los recursos naturales, esta tecnologia es excelente deben mostrar lo que tiene al muno, felicitaciones, I advise you to translate this video a spanish, so that most people will know your ideas. FELICITACIONES

  • It's no surprise that the productivity of people increases. I've heard that in Germany, they banned fluorescent lights in schools because it inhibits learning. Just makes me wonder if you could get sunburn inside...

  • @MufinMcFlufin

It allows sungLIGHT not sunRAYS to fill the space.

  • @InsaneNuYawka

    LEARN to take a JOKE

  • Cool technology, I hate florescent! Wish my building had one.

  • Kudos to the library and Sunflower (for donating their expertise) to brighten the library in more ways than one. So cool that the Sundolier is off the grid!
