idk if htis is the guy on the album but the guy on the soundtrack is amazing and i love this guy as well.. I love Korean productions of musicals. They're very well done..
I don't understand Korean but I love this version! You can tell that they took some pointers from David Hasslehoff's performance, like the way Ryu jung han had the David Hasslehoff mocking-face and the stringy hair, and they also used most of the original choreography for the beating. Having Hyde pour alcohol (I assume) over the "body" before lighting it on fire was pure genius. Especially, when he did that little back-and-forth motion with it over his chest, as if making the sign of the cross.
Oil would most likely burn better than alcohol, but who carries around oil in a flask all day? Someone who has it just in case they need to to fry bacon or burn bishops later?
In comparison, alcohol is drinkable, drunkable AND flammable.
Jekyll & Hyde is a musical thriller. It's a horror show, in essence. Of course, it's not scary, but it's not a comedy at all. You should probably watch the whole thing in English or listen to the whole broadway CD, before you start watching it in foreign languages. It would make more sense that way.
I love how you assume because I find it funny I don't know the show. Jekyll and Hyde is my favorite musical ever. I just think its kinda funny listening to them sing it in a different language
Haha. Okay, sorry. Firstly, I misread it, I thought you said you don't find it funny. I was informing you that it wasn't supposed to be. It wasn't an assumption based on you finding it funny, it was an assumption on you "not getting it," which is what I thought was happening. :-)
Ooh! I LOVE this version...even if I can't understand it :) I really like how, at the end, the flame is over the entire body. In the filmed version with Hasselhoff, the flame only covers the lower part of the back.
i've always liked korean version of musicals, they're more dramatic to me :DD

It's Hyde, he just came prepared to fry up some Bishop. My vote is for oil.

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. One of my favorite plays and the Korean cast does it WAY too well. Wish I could understand it though...

So is the bishop burned in most versions? In the production I saw, he was hung.

It's...not supposed to be funny.

EXCELLENT! I like the sort or greenish tone his skin has! Two different Korean productions? The other Jekyll/Hyde has a moustache...
SombreGent 4 years ago
The Jekyll who has a moustache is Seungwoo Cho(Jo) - the Double casting with Junghan Ryu
