  • Danny glover used to be an activist back in the 60's

  • The only good part when seeing how many poor people I get to step on

  • he may live in the same neighborhood.....but he is still filthy rich and does NOT contribute to the advancement of his own race.

  • Don't work, don't eat. Simple as that. They're obviously not getting anything done just sitting there. It's all pointless.

  • RIght on, Glover! The man has brains, talent and spunk!

  • GLOVER is part of the 1%...occupy his mansion in L.A. or NY

  • @1940ISA

Wrong, this brother lives in the same neighborhood where he grew up in the Haight-Ashbury section of San Francisco.

  • @1940ISA no he isnt!!........i think ur confused about who the 1% is...private bankers, rothschilds, kissinger,.rockerfeller..bohemian club

  • "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, QUIT DOWNLOADIN' MAH MOVIES! I ONLY GOT 4"

  • He likes talking about all this crap because he's already rich and has nothing to lose.

  • @Skippyraptor well if hes already rich and has nothing to lose why should he care at all???....this is a rousing speech and even if hes done it for kicks it doesnt matter,it's a valuable contribution that might make certain apathetic marginalised members of society take notice and act.

  • Let's tear down this Republic and build democracy.

  • This video makes me feel like I'm watching angels in the outfield when he is motivating the team

  • Outstanding! Well said, Mr. Glover!

  • the 99% aren't against the 1%, they are against the 1% who don't pay their fair share, who manipulate the system and buy politicians. The 99% are FOR success and economic achievement but not through lying, cheating and stealing from everyone else what they rightfully deserve.

  • He's got $15 million...

    He's the 1%

  • @MoldytoasterMedia He didn't steal money from anyone.

  • @Tech5420 for every job he takes another actor is out of work.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia Congratulations, That was the most retarded thing I've heard in a long time. But please, don't breath, you're wasting oxygen that everyone else could be breathing right now.

  • @Tech5420 We can create more oxygen and it won't devalue the existing oxygen. If we create more money the existing money is worth less.

    Money isn't oxygen.

Please for the love of God, put a lease a little bit of thought into what you say before you speak.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia its not about creating more money but making sure that everyone has enough....how much does anyone need before its just sick???

  • @ezmereldagreen exactly. How much money do people like Danny Glover really need?

  • Its not his fault he is well off he worked hard, it is ballsy for him to speak out seing how his checks were written by the one percent

  • @zavialova Such ignorance.

  • Love the inspiration he projects when he speaks — Hate the anti-Tea Party signs at 2:45

  • good speach but not one constructive idea or plan of attack..

  • "Let America be....America again!"

  • whoa. incredible!

  • That wass Ammazzin! Love it. Spread this on!

  • Much respect for Danny Glover speaking out.

  • How can this guy work with that moron Mel Gibson?

  • Great speech, thanks for posting!

  • I suggest you do a little research on Danny Glover he blames earthquakes on global warming, he backs the GLOBAL CARBON TAX. he is a globalist. He does not represent me. And any one who supports Globalism and more tax

    I DO NOT SUPPORT YOU!

  • Corporatocracy kills.

  • The Govt belongs to We the People! Not the corporations and corrupt bought off politicians.

  • He speaks so much sense my ears are falling of...

  • He speaks so much since my ears are falling of...

  • Whoa. Danny is ON! Shared.

  • Haha gotta love him. He's been helping with this almost since day 1. Bless him and his family for all they do and continue to do. Bless everyone for all their efforts. It's going to be a long fight so we all must hang in there as peacefully as we can till real change is made!

  • Going to town - Wow

  • Danny Glover is mad that he WAS the 1%, but then spent it all and now is back in the 99%.

    poor danny glover.

  • @LoveSecurity -- I rather doubt that Glover ever had an income of over $11 million , which is the low end for that percentage group. (You can search for a graph in NY Times.)

  • Of course Danny Glover isn't too old to use his wisdom and potency to help the younger generations create pathways for a decent life. NO ONE IS TOO OLD. Get that programming out of your heads. Those of us in the movement with you who are from the 50's and 60's have been trying to wake people up for 50 years... and it had to get to this disastrous situation before people would wake up! Get your parents and grandparents to go to the streets with you. The truth is ageless!

  • powerful speaker!

  • government is not FOR the people , it is to govern the people.

and as long as we keep taking their bs it will continue to herd all the sheep.

voting is rigged , paid for, it has nothing to do with the people. the 1% decide, not the people. to say the government is to help people goes against the capitalist regime they are. u think they are so rich from helping people? if so y are there so many people in need and they are so rich?

  • We're talking about taking back our democracy and making it a.......derocrisisphy.....?

  • @mrsiepel1 definitely the important part of that speech to focus on

  • I was there with my 15 yr old son . It was a beautiful Day !

  • "If you want the most technical term, our country is a *constitutionally limited representative democratic republic*. Our form of government, the constitution limits the power of government. We elect representatives, so it's not a pure democracy. But we do elect them by majority rule so it is democratic. And the form of, the infrastructure, the total form of government, is republican, it is a republic." -thom hartmann

  • @Anniebodhi it's called an unrepresentative democracy. Al Gore spoke at the conference for Business for Social Responsibility last week, he said both parties are wholly owned by by Int'l finance and all reps and senators are on a leash.

  • @kristiemansfield yeah... thom wrote that a while back before we were fully engulfed by the oligarchy or plutocracy or kleptocracy or whatever you want to call it... and i suppose al gore would know.

  • Indeed, this is one speech to never forget.

  • dudes badass!!

  • I'm all with it until the "let's turn America into the dream it used to be" shit, I hate that stuff.

  • @MASSIF101 He's quoting a famous poem by Langston Hughes.

  • Beautiful speech!

  • Not another black man as pres. Hasnt gone over to well. I agree usa is a republic not demoncracy.

  • I'd like to re-imagine a REPUBLIC.... not a "Democracy".... I'm so tired of these awesome people making awesome speeches and then claiming America is a Democracy.... so sad... what part of "And To The REPUBLIC" did everyone forget??

  • @F33DTH3F1R3F1LM5 You do realize that our Government is both, right? People using kindergarten logic to validate their opinions: So sad.

  • @Croecho -- You do realize that you're wrong, right? That's nothing more than a brainwashed excuse you use to deny a very SIMPLE TRUTH!!

  • @Croecho -- The USA is a "Constitution-based federal republic".... not my opinion genius!!

  • Danny Glover for President!

  • @kayart70 Agree, Danny Glover for President.

  • Dear government, you've failed. Not only have you failed, you've committed crimes against humanity, and the very people you've sworn to govern. From the president to the police, to the courts, to the congress, it is time we the people come together and remove you. It is time you understood you governed at our leisure.

  • His last day before retirement.

  • Where's RIGGS !!!!?

  • @stillphil In his room with the lights off, hating Jews.

  • @uncahay probably so ! Threatening some woman as a bonus.

  • PRIMARY CLASS A SHAREHOLDERS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE 1. Rothschild family of London and New York 2. Warburg Family of Germany and New York 3. Oppenheimer Family of London, Germany and New York 4. Kuhn & Loeb of Germany and New York 5. Lehman Brothers of New York 6. Goldman Sachs of New York 7. Rockefeller Family of New York 8. JP Morgan Chase of New York (Queen of England is the largest shareholder) 9. Lazard Brothers of Paris and New York 10. Israel Seif and Moses of Italy (Bank of America)
  • They make no sense. Where is the aim at the Obama Admin.? The Federal Reserve? The worst rally speech I have ever heard - grandstanding on deviations that really have nothing to do with the problem? Danny, who are you blaming? Where is the talk about the REAL issue: Derivatives trading going back to 1995 - 2011. Danny Glover is trying to protect Obama and allow the NWO plan to move forward. Getting these to kids to stand down and NOT TO SEE the TRUTH! F for failure! Oh Danny boy.

  • And with that, my respect for Danny Glover went down. Tremendously.

  • Amen

  • Love it!!

  • Thanks for sharing, Zam :)

  • @bushonomics Your welcome Bush.

  • He's not acting.

  • @deepashtray ...and he is not to old for this shit either.

  • @TheZamario It lifts my spirits to finally hear someone include the environment in the OWS movement, not just getting the country back to the same situation that got us in this mess to begin with. Thanks for the video.

  • Excellent upload, amazing speech.

I have shared it in all of the appropriate places. If you change the licence, I will happily mirror it on my channel.

  • @gabiotta Mirror away.

  • @TheZamario

I will if you change the youtube licence. I can't download at the moment because all I have got to work with is a shitty laptop with a burnt out hard drive.

    :(

  • @gabiotta Sorry not up to speed with the latest rules and regulations. I have done what you asked.

  • @TheZamario

No worries. I have found a copy that had been changed and it is processing now. I think that this is a good thing to spread around.

  • That speech was awesome!

  • He rocks!

  • @Vogter616 hey Vogter we meet again.. yeah man he rocks

  • Yeah more government isn't the answer, 50% of our senate and congress are millionaires (Its True). Though I agree too few people control the lives of billions on this earth. It's funny we give them our votes and money---then they choose how we live, make laws to protect their interests. Once again I agree with most of the message, but read my first sentence. The government isn't gonna solve the problem--they help make it and keep the status quo. Not advocating NO Goverment---Just a little less

  • @TheRasslingShow Dude, if you don't want government in your life you don't have to have it, you can still live your life with as little government involvement as possible. At the same time for the people, if there was a system setup for people to have a hand up not necessarily a hand out, then let them have it. This is what a government should be, because it is for the people.

  • @TheZamario At least I'm not in the U,K where you need a license for a television. In the USA you have to pay $ to the fed, for any income you earn and pay $ for the land you live on--even after you pay off your house. Sounds like being a serf. I'm not saying government is bad, nor do I have a better idea. It just all seems fishy. At least we agree their are a lot of Cunts.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheRasslingShow You do realize those people are in the streets because they want the government to align its interests with most people instead of the 1%.

Less government will not help those people who have lost or are losing their homes, jobs and dignity.

Better government; a government that truly represents the people and not the interests of multinational corporations is what they want.

The TEA party had its ineffective pro-corporate rally already.

    Occupy is different.

  • @AeSaar I guess, but once again 50% of the congress is millionaires, why would they want to change the system? I guess they could lie and say they will....then they will get votes. Both sides do that! I agree with your statement, but how about people control their destiny---not corporations or the government. They only have real power if we give them votes or $, so if we want CHANGE we can withhold these things.

  • @AeSaar I'm neither Democrat or Republican. I want to know how to get a better government...make it bigger, tax us more, more laws. just elect the right people Monopolies are formed by lobbyists in government, who then make laws to protect the corporation. So we do agree that Corporations get away with too much! So can we agree that lobbyists shouldn't have more say than a citizen. I think that would be a good start. Thanks for the reply!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheRasslingShow it's not a question of quantity it's a problem of quality. more government isn't the answer and neither is less. the answer is more effective government which means we have to restructure the institutions and put people in that don't put corporate interests before the people.

  • Danny Glover don't care! He's like the Honey Badger.

  • @ChunxOfEarth Why do you assume that?
