Haley gives consummate performances which showcase her diverse talents - not only her vocal skills, but with all her subtle movements (i.e. hand gestures, eye movements, etc). For this song, the others bemoan the love lost; but, Haley grabs one's attention and let you know in no uncertain terms how she feels. That's the big difference between Haley and Tom Jones, Dame Bassey, et al. That's why her LIVE performances are so amazing.

I'm sorry... I don't agree. Fantasia definitely still holds the title for best AI performance ever for "Summertime". Also, I prefer Jordin Sparks' cover of this song. It was very poised while still keeping a hauntingly emotional tone, as though she was really LIVING the song. NO ARGUMENT, Haley can sing, but this wasn't her best. Just my opinion.
