@MilesGos I know, I've been playing the Colin Mcrae series since the first game on PC and PS1. But the whole rally experience is just becoming less realistic, with the flasbacks and new gametypes such as Gymkhana. Sure, it will attrackt a bigger audience of 10y olds that knows little about rally but more about wrecking cars. Showdown is just a pointless smashing game and to me, it has lost all appeal. But I'll be waiting for DiRT4 in the hope things will get better...

Secondly, if you actually bothered to find out more about this game, Codemasters are working on the proper DiRT 4 as well, that will be a pure rally experience.

Looks like they brought back the GRID damage system.

And considering that GRID 2 will be announced soon, it's likely that they'll use an improved damage system in this game too.

I'm a bit more excited about GRID 2 because I got every Dirt game already but this is something different.

The devs have said instead of people saying "too much rally" or "not enough hardcore stuff" in their Dirt series, they've split the two genres, so this is for those who like the bashing stuff and the Dirt series will have both, but will be more realistic and mainly focus on Rally.
