And Yes, theres a viable reason, we were going in there to disarm the Iraq of it's weapons of mass destruction. Granted, it wasn't a good reason and was proven wrong, however information pointed that he still had those weapons. History and past actions showed us that Saddam was armed, and used WDMs, which threaten the United States interests in the Middle East.

If something doesn't exist, it is a FACT that there would be no real intel in existence about it, which loops back around to my first point that there was no viable reason to wage war. Our goverment fabricated these bogus reasons in order for us to wage an invasion for some obvious alterior motive not for America or her people's safety, but for something entirely else.

Look up these locations, Haij Umran, Panjwin, Majnoon Island, al-Basrah, Hawizah Marsh, Al-Faw, Um ar-Rasas, Sumar/Mehran, Halabjah, Fish Lake, and An-Najaf Karbala areas in relations to Iraqi WMDs during the Iran-Iraq War. There are also documentation from a British Arms Company called Matrix Churchill who got permission to supply Saddam for his weapons program. The US Centers of Disease Control also sold biological samples of Anthrax, West Nile and Botulism to Iraq.
