Its a bit stupid to do a sap first, I dont get why all rogues does that?.. When you sap first, you activate a 24 sec. DR, which affects Gouge. This means that within 24 sec. of the sap, your gouge will only have 50% duration.

I would go for:

Cheapshot(+2 points)>Backstap(+1 point)>Gogue(+1 point). (If you spec with Seal Fate you might have 5 points, due to backstap crit.)

Then I would:

Kidneyshot(5 points = 6 sec. stun)>backstap>Vanish>Cheapsho­t

or

Coldblood+Eviscerate (5 points = huge dmg)

@Mheramb The sap thing is really just a thing of habit, with stealth being so fickle against all of the aoe abilities these days it's quite often hit just to stay in control. When someone wants you to get the opener (which isn't all that often even in arranged duels) it's quite common just to hit it out of second nature. I haven't played for quite a while now but I believe kidneyshot has been put on the same DR as cheapshot with the pre-cata patch. Stunlock is dead, really.

u mean go in to vanish after the 1st kidney shot then you sap then cheap shot again then you kidney shot. then the blind. Then stealth 3rd cheap shot then kidney shot. Then vanish. then 4th cheap shot then kidney shot. then refresh CD skill then vanish then 5th cheap shot then kidney shot then blind then stealth then 6th cheap shot then kidney shot. then if ur high enough level shadow dance and stunlock to the end of it. if ur opponent is not dead after that then you suck horribly

basically, just like death knights as a class in wotlk, worgens and goblins will be very popular, but after a few moths everyone will start to realize which race they really love. So stick with you ud rogue. level him to the expansion, try out the worgen class and see where it goes from there. but then at least you will have a high level rogue that you can always go back to that is one of the best race and class combos in the game

when your going to stunlock, you dont need vanish if you know how to do it...All you need is cheapshot, kidneyshot and gouge ( and your main attack to use in between the stuns ... mutilate ftw.. no backstab )

Gouge has like a 5 second cooldown..So its much better to use than vanish.Save vanish until you REALLY need it...Like if a mage blinks and then is about to pyro you and pwn ur face

Good thing ambush isnt mentioned, i just ran Hyjal this morning, aswell as a t6 helmet and gloves, i got the molten fists of fury, both pieces, so i cant use ambush :P cant wait to use this combo, especially with sprint and a swiftness potion to make it harder for the opponent to do anything about it, time for some epic Rape , PVP style :D

"Cheap shot > hemo, hemo > kidney shot >hemo, hemo > couge "

=40+35+35+25 (0 with ruthlessness)+35+35+45=225 energy.

You gain 100 energy during the 10 second CS KS routine.

225-100=125

You start with 100 or 110 energy, not 125.

I just find it amusing how your strategy necessarily involves, in chronological order:

1) Gouging while on diminishing returns, god knows why you think that's a good idea.

2) Having a full GCD out of stunlock after eviscerate.

3) After your gouge on 1x DRs, 1 second GCD, eviscerate, 1 second gcd, blind lasts 10 seconds, = 12 seconds, which means your sap will be on 2x DRs, so it only lasts 2.5 seconds. All it does is waste your energy and reset your incapcitate DR timer. Well done.

There is no set way to stunlock, it depends entirely on your enemy, since half the classes out there have innate abilities to counter them.

Besides, everyone worth beating has a trinket at higher level play so things don't go according to plan.

Know what abilities you have, and know when they can be used. From there, you can work out the rest on the fly.

This is just a mid-level rogue attempting to be useful, you actually did the stunlock completely wrong, BTW, after the cheap shot runs out you gouge to get the full 6 second stun (5 CP's), then you vanish and repeat, and if needed, youuse Preperation, and repeat a third time

if your goo within the time of the cheapshot you can get one ss and goue in thus eliminating the need of premeditate then with improved gouge you can wait for a bit of energy regen before kidney shotting then as soon as your done kidney shot pop blind and wait full time to renew cd on kidney shot simply combining stun moves and keeping your combo points up isnt that hard

If you rather want them at 50% before they can react then do this...

You dont have to use premeditation.. and CD´s to stun lock.. Specc assasination.. and when ever u crit on a backstab u will get 2 combo points . because of Seal Fate.. the coolest stunlock Specc u can have. i got a 50 rogue. and he is Assasination . ive stunlocked a 56 mage To Full death. not a Single CD used.. and a 59 Hunter did i get stunlocked to death with only Vanish .. :D still nice.. but u have MUCH to learn.:D

no u didnt....for starters a non full stunlock will barely ever kill the trarget but mages have abnormally low health...also mages cannot be stunlocked because they r capable of blinking out of cheap shot, using ice block to release from blind or kidney shot. and if they have insignia/medallion of alliance/horde so well...
