Last Jasser's statement: Tschechoslowakia and other eastern european countries had a different basement of ideology than islamic states. In muslim states islam has changed all the traditions and attitudes people had before it arose. That change occured for over 1400 yrs. @TheFairKnight I agree. Jasser is out of touch with reality. Separate mosque from state? Will never happen. Islam cannot be reformed. To reform it is to rewrite the words of allah. To rewrite the words of allah is to deem allah imperfect. To deem allah imperfect is to expose the falsehood of Islam. It's that simple.  Also did he use the word SECULAR? There is no such thing as a secular Muslim. That's a contradiction. As it's happened with other religions, Islam has to be overthrown.

@79Gaulish I agree. Islamic reformation is called bidah (innovation). According to prophet Muhammad and famous Islamic theologian, Ghazali, bidah is a crime punishable by death. Baghdad caliphs (al-Mamun, al-Mutassim, and al-Wathik), Muatazilites, and Akbar the Great in India tried to reform Islam to make it less violent, but they failed. Islamic orthodoxy struck back with greater brutality and horror in every instance.
