Megaphil, this is just awesome. As a fan of prototype/beta stuff, I must ask if you've any plans to publicly release this beta. I think the MM community would certainly appreciate playing and researching this particular beta. Thanks.
u knew they were gonna make a remake of the megaman gb games and make a the megaman gb collection for gba as well as a remake of metroid 2 but it was a dx version for the gbc. cuz of bad ratings on the 100 best video games
Is bass suposed to make an appearence in ur game make bass a playable charachter and maybe the guy who captured wily is a new robot killer like in the gb advenutres. like punk ba
junkershvn gave me the builds. He agreed that I show the FrostMan stage in my "No One Heard" video along with the music. But he made me promise to not distribute the CDs to everyone since he wanted to get the credits for it. So that's why I only show this. We would have to ask him if I or he can show the rest of the footage or provide download links. There are actually 2 CDs. Both contain certain stages at different levels of completion.
I know it's been a while since you posted this comment, but where does junkershvn currently stand on the issue of providing more footage and/or the other pieces of music?
Nice work! I like...but what I like even more is the beta stage! How in the hell did he get it and is he willing to share with the world? (I really dont see why not. :P)
I liked it, because I never listened any 8-bit version of such an unknown song. This video is the same one you used on the video "25 Great MegaMan Songs No One Heard - Part 1". Talking about this, where is part 4?
I always liked this unused song, it's rather nifty, but if you listen closely to it, there are a lot of similarities between it and the Saturn's version of the Tengu Man theme. Perhaps this similarity is why this version was not included in the final game, or perhaps the artists (or upper-Capcom development staff) just liked the version that made it into the game better? Who knows.
Still, I'm liking this 8-bit rendition, so thanks for posting it! Is this 8-bit being used for something?
the crash noise doesnt have to sound so loud, either way, the music is going to sound in the Megaman 2 Style, instead of the MM3-6 style, as well of the high pitch noises
Comet Woman has a frozen/icy stage, right? I guess you could always have it as some sort of "Easter Egg" song for that level, as an alternate if certain conditions are met (kind of like the Ghost N' Goblins theme was in Shade Man's level in Rockman 7). Just an idea, but I'm sure you'd figure something out. ;)
That's a nice rendition of Frost Man's unused theme in 8-bit form. (Now, if I knew where the ORIGINAL version was. :P)
What's just as interesting, now seeing the complete unused stage, is how much enemies they added and didn't add in certain areas (the elevators and the first jet board sections, for example). Not to mention that the downward elevator near the end of the first half might have been a nice touch if they kept it and added enemies. Who knows?
The snowboarding sections are much easier in the final game. The unfinished version is really cruel ( : Even if I know the retail version by heart, It was actually hard to beat the unfinished stage.
I will remix this.

There is also the intro stage with a different song (That isn't all that good : P) The stage select song isn't really good either.

No, it's not used for anything... I just felt like making the 8-Bit version for fun and challenge. ^_^
Maybe I'll put it as an easter egg in MM10... I don't know.

The rendition is amazing. Nice work.
Of course, the only thing that comes to mind with this stage:
"Jump, Jump!" "Slide, Slide!"
