  • great job! just out of curiosity, why do you skin the boar as soon as you shoot it? why not just take it home first before cleaning it?

  • @thebigrich112 Thanks! I always field dress them immediately to lighten the load and leave the messy part as far from home as possible. I skin it later back near the ranch HQ. This one in particular had to be dragged across a steep hillside for 200 yards, so the less it weighed the better it was for us.

  • What part of Cali is this?

  • @thewhitemosquito My part, lol. It's near Hollister.

  • I am a newcomer to these hunting videos. In USMC boot camp (too many years ago) I won a "High Shooter" medal but have always thought I would NEVER hunt animals. I now would like to hunt Feral Swine. I have a question though. It seems there is a reluctance to target the sows (especially pregnant) and the piglets. Why? Are they any less destructive of the crops? Is it less "manly"? I've seen videos with these critters all over the place and pregant sows and numerous piglets and down go the boars.

  • @19KIMLYN72 First of all, thank you for your service! When it comes to hunting pigs, there are three basic catagories that hunters fall in to. 1) Trophy hunters, they only want the biggest badest boars to hang on their wall. 2) Meat hunters, they only care about the meat they will harvest and typically aim to shoot a younger animal, sex is not a concern. 3) Depredation hunters, they don't really care about size, shape or sex. They just want them eradicated from their land. cont....

  • @19KIMLYN72 cont...We make an effort to avoid shooting "wet" sows, the ones that are obviously nursing, but we shoot dry sows all the time. There's nothing wrong with it. We want our herd to grow, so I'll flat out tell a guy he can't shoot if I can't identifiy a dry sow or boar. We also shoot any pig that doesn't have the right characteristics, such as floppy ears or spots. I hope I answered your question.

  • Fantastic video.Countryside looks so much like Australia's,or my parts at least.

  • @dootiefree Awesome! Thanks!

  • Beautiful Ranch man!

  • @Derail07 Thank you! And thanks for subscribing!

  • These are some great videos. Thanks for sharing them. I learned some really informative stuff with respect to skinning a hog.

  • @tylerfeetcore2 Thanks! I'm glad you were able to take away something positive from them. There will be more to come, make sure you subscribe!

  • Is your ranch open for guest hunters. An I have a .223 is that to small to take down a pig.

  • @TheHeritage2011 No, unfortunately hunting is only open to friends and family of the ranch owner. A carefully placed shot with any caliber could potentially take down any animal, but typically a .223 would not be used on big game. .243 or bigger is recommended (we prefer that our hunters bring .270 - 7mm mag). .223 is a great small game round; coyote, bobcat, long range ground squirrel/prairie dog, etc.

  • where is this at

  • @luckyfrank562 On my ranch near Hollister.

  • @TheProRancher awesome, lived in So. Cal all my life and haven't been hunting out here yet

  • wow this looks like exact area i was at earlier in the santa ynez valley ha,

  • In New Zealand where i come from some use just 2 dogs , a hunter and a bailer. The 1st hunts out the pig and the other bails it up and holds on to a ear or tail and the guy or gal comes in with a knife and sticks them in the heart, but not for me im to chicken shit for that,iv seen what a tusk can do and it isnt pretty as you might know. All in all and great vid.

  • @Hamma1340 Thanks! Yeah I don't like using dogs to hunt pigs. I love dogs and couldn't imagine letting mine near a pig. The idea of stabbing one is just crazy and not worth the risk. Hogs are tough, mean and dirty animals that are generally easy to shoot.

  • @TheProRancher Yeah bud but thats us Kiwis for yeah...we do things different here like jump out of a Helicopter on to the back of a stag or deer and some say its a fun job ...1st...why the hell would you do it...2nd...what the hell ya going to do with it sitting on this animal that just dosnt want to play piggybacks [iv seen it only on TV] 3rd...we have guns in NZ,shit use them!... but some just dont have the brains in my books...or they got balls the size of coconuts and just as tuff...lol

  • I wanna go boar hunting in our beautiful state of california but I have no idea where to go! I'm in the bay area, can you tell me where?

  • @Hyphy101dre Unfortunately I really can't. We only do private hunts for friends and family of the land owner and the only hunting guides that I know charge too much. You can look into public lands through the DFG's website and go from there, or try talking to ranch owners about leasing their land. Some land owners hate pigs and are glad to get rid of them! Good luck and thanks for subscribing!

  • how is a lung shot a humane shot to take?

  • @XxLAXBREASTxX The ideal shot placement is the heart, but the lungs will also result in a relatively quick death. If the shooter can make a brain shot the animal dies instantly, but it's a very small target with a great risk of missing. A shot placed in the chest area will guarantee a heart/lung shot, so this is the prefered target. A shot made on any other part of the animal will likely just injure it and usually results in a lost animal, which is really bad.

  • how do you know it was the one the customer shot

  • @shadownight50 I know my pigs! And he had a huge bone spur on the same leg he had been previously shot. If you pause it at 6:54, you can see that his right front foot is much larger than the two hind feet. This is from the bone reconstruction during healing. It also gave him a badass pimp limp!

  • Yeah that does look alot like Paso.. go there to hunt with my grandpa on his firends land.

  • @GroundSquirrelSniper Yeah, it's very similar country. We're basically on the north end of the Salinas Valley. Thanks for subscribing!!

  • @TheProRancher no problem and i guess my uncle goes up to Hollister too, he has a buddy that owns property.

  • @GroundSquirrelSniper Nice name btw!

  • Kinda looks like Paso or Atascadero area. Nice land either way!

  • @mwhitbey1 We're a few hours north of Paso, near Hollister. Thanks for subscribing!!

  • Nice video and nice place to go hunting

  • @jamesvini Thanks, it is!

  • @specops1991 Priceless comment! Thanks for the laugh!

  • 7:24 Yet again, delicious looking pig

  • @HaVoKGagaPS3 It's the main course at the All American BBQ at our duck club next week, I'll let you know how it was.

  • @HaVoKGagaPS3 It was great as expected!

  • Furthermore, and to stoop to your level, English, as a proper noun, should have a capital letter. Goodbye Mr Thick Hilbilly Twat.

  • @siuguitar stoop? wow wow so many commas on wrong places sorry but "Mr Thick Billy Twat" just owned ur ass

  • @DawnOfDestructiion I'm sorry I do not understand what you are trying to say due to your extremely poor choice of words and lack of sentence structure.

  • @siuguitar "Goodbye" is the most intelligent word you've spoken thus far.

  • hillbilly thick cunts

  • @siuguitar Your command of the english language has me rapt in spellbound awe.

  • @TheProRancher sarcasm is the lowest form of wit and use of the English language is an irrelevant point. The fact remains that you and your boyfriend on this video derive great pleasure from roaming around shooting at animals (and mainly missing) for entertainment. dangnabit cleetus!!!

  • @siuguitar Using the word "cunt" is likely the easiest way to make yourself hated by the entire human population. Go back to trolling so I can get back to my engineering studies. I'm bored with people like you.

  • @TheProRancher "Using the word "cunt" is likely the easiest way to make yourself hated by the entire human population".

This is probably the most stupid thing I've heard this week! Most people in the world would be rather disgusted at your needless killing of animals and sadistic enjoyment of such behaviour rather than me saying a naughy word.

  • @siuguitar You are now blocked. Nice music, btw.

  • Great hunt!!!

  • @bgwvrdr It was a lot of fun!

  • where is your ranch?it sure is beautiful. do you do guided hunts?

  • @thewopjoey Near Hollister, CA. I do guide hunts, but only for friends and family of the ranch owner.

  • nice shot; too bad we don't have hogs up here in Canada :P

  • @SirDiggyDawg Yeah, that is too bad, they're tasty critters.

  • good shot! Whats the last song called?

  • @ThePAPAMAS Yeah he placed it well. The last song is called What You Want (version 2).

  • your vidoes are cool with hunting and tips.

  • @MrBeast15015 Thanks! Are you saying you would like me to add more tips to my vids?

  • @TheProRancher Yeah

  • @TheProRancher yeah

  • @MrBeast15015 Okay, if I think there's something that could be explained , I'll annotate it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

  • yum!

  • @3320105 You bet!!

  • nice

  • @MrBeast15015 Thanks!!
