I doubt an American citizen grabbing an American police officer's gun would have fared better. But from the footage it's clear these guys clearly didn't have the training to handle a basic detainment. There wasn't an escalation of force and the sindh ranger whose weapon was grabbed retreated instead of attempting to gain physical control.
