ive had this watch for over 6 months now and its the job, everyone i know want to buy it off me, the signal thing is tricky as im from ireland so it picks the signal from london and it has to be 2 to 4 in the morning. the battery lasts forever!! 10/10 for me

@HTCfan1234 The manual doesn't have a lot of detail on the time signal coverage. If you are in the US, there is good information at the nist web site but apparently I can't leave a link in a comment.

i bought the same one only that it isnt the blue angels model. its the titanium gray with a little orange one. its great. i loved ur review, and nice watch! hope you enjoy wearin it!

Nice watch, I guess. What do you use it for if your on the ground and not a pilot? I was under the impression planes now have on-board computers in the cockpit? I guess its more of a novelty item huh?

I have both watches and have to admit, the titanium one looks sharp as blade. Both watches work great. I got the Blue Angels as a gift. In any other case the titanium one would stay on my wrist forever.

IMO i think the jy0010-50E titanium edition looks much better because it doesnt have the yellow edged thingys on the bezel.

The sad thing is that is doesn't have a sapphire crystal. Upper end watches have sapphire.

@Shademantis The music was created using Sony Cinescore. Sony disconitinued the product so unfortunately you can't buy it anymore, but it was basically software that would allow you to generate royalty free music to use as background music.

There is no light for the whole watch face...just the digital portion.

My fiance' dumped me, got the ring back,and picked this watch up, and a Tissot wich the hands split up into a compass,altemeter, temp etc then goes back to time. But I like the skyhawk better. I walked out of the jewlery store happier the second time, than when I bought the ring lol.

I did end up getting a skyhawk black eagle, and yes it is only for the original skyhawk ( i think ) . No there isnt a black eagle AT :)

thanks for the video. nice watch. is it very readable in the dark? is the backlite enough to shine in the dark and allow for the the digits to be seen?

The light will light the LCD display, but it won't really light the hands. The hands glow though and they are pretty readable in the dark, they seem to glow for a long time.

There are a lot of times where I look at other watches and say, "Why would I get that because it can't do what my Skyhawk AT can?" I have the stainless steel model. Overall, I've been pleased with this watch. Sets itself and charges on it's own. Just two gripes about this watch. Lume is very weak and only prevalent after coming in from outside. Second, the US versions of the watch use mineral crystal. For their flagship, I really think Citizen could have used a sapphire crystal.

Yes, it recharges by sunlight so it never needs a battery. My older skyhawk has been running for over 5 years.

Thanks. The camera I use is a Canon Vixia HF-100 and for editing I use Sony Vegas Pro 8.0. On this video, I used a couple of new things. The first is a JAG35 35mm adapter. This allows you to use 35mm lenses on the camera and get effects like a shallower depth of field. I used this on the shots where I'm talking, not the close-ups of the watch. The JAG35 is made by a guy named jehugarcia on youtube and you can get a lot better examples of what it can do from his channel.

The other thing I used was a plug-in for Vegas called Magic Bullet. I want to do a lot more with JAG35, but I haven't done much yet. Also I just was in the hospital the last few days and I still have some recovering to do so it might be a little while before I do any filming.
