Okazaki made me laugh like a loon. Thank you so much for this video — was going over the course spec for my exam tomorrow and it turns out that I have to know DNA replication, but lo and behold all my notes on the subject had vanished. This video is my saviour. Thanks, guys!
Fun, cute, and helpful. People who giggle a lot form a DOUBLE SQUEALIX instead of a double helix. (humor helps you think about really complicated information).
This video clip visually is good but the sound tracking it is very annoying and sometimes difficult to understand due to the voices used. Would not recommend to anyone, as in general it is a waste of valuable study time
You forgot to mention DNA polymerase I, an enzyme which replaces RNA nucleotides of the primer with the DNA nucleotides (all except the last one, this is essentially why DNA ligase is needed to connect the Okazaki fragments into one continuous strand). Topoisomerase, enzyme that relieves the strain just next to the replication fork due to uncoiling of the double helix, was also not mentioned. Other than that good job!
We realize that the video is a little hard to understand at times. In the info section (right under the video -- click the drop-down box), we've included the script for the second half of the video. Hope this helps!
I founded very useful. hahaha It helped me a lot, I couldn't understand what was the okazaki fragment before. But it's reaally hard to understand what adenine says hahahah
this made my ENTIRE bio class laugh loudly when we watched this today! INCLUDING the teacher! he's going to use it every year now! XD its an awesome cartoon!
The voices need to be easier to understand, since there are part which I've played 5x over and still couldn't make out what they were saying... that aside, was a really cute video
hahahahha!

the pink thing is an enzime called DNA Helicase, but there's no RNA primer. The DNA Helicase unwinds the DNA helix.
