Self-Produced Singles is so much NWOBHM and they did. Strange enough that they say about the other NWOBHM band "they are all crap". This was shocking but at least I was happy that these guys didn´t kill me...

I agree with what Joe said about the glam bands or what we call hair bands. Def Leppard got lumped into that category as well even though they were more focused on writing great songs instead of worrying about their looks. Whereas Poison and Motley Crue were image driven first and songs second.
I cannot even buy a greatest hits album for Motley Crue or Poison because there's only 1 or 2 songs that are good. Def Leppard make albums where every song is good on every album.
I think it's bullshit for Joe to deny ever being a part of the NWOBHM era. It's what helped take Def Leppard's success to MTV.. Had they not become famous, they would've lived on that "term" alone for the rest of their careers. Seriously, regardless of coming at the same time or not, the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal confronted the sudden rise of punk in England. I agree Jen. I lost all respect for Brett Michaels when he did that STUPID show. He just needed a little publicity. I used to like him and Poison. I like their old music but Brett is....I can't even find the words to say how gross he was in that show.

Joe's vocals at SRF were really dispapointing, I have respect for Leppard's achievements,but their performance wasn't the best.
Also, he should stop slagging off the NWOBHM, the Lep's were part of it whether he likes it or not.
As for the slagging off of other bands, it's really sad,he must be on the defensive.
Poison's performance had 10 times the energy of Leppards!
