I beaten the game fairly when I was about 10. Its not that difficult, my advice is play the three practice levels to acquire additional lifes, etc. Memorise where the rocks are on the driving level, acquire a whip on the bourbon street levels, acquire as many pistol bullets as possible and always wear a bulletproof vest. I probably found it easier being from the UK, playing it in 50hz. Snake Rattle n Roll, thats a real tough game.

The awesome thing about this game is being able to fight crocodiles! Oh and the voice clip at the beginning "The Adventures of Bayou Billy" Is fucking hilarious. I like the game as a whole and the music is great. Excellent review!

Fucking Game Genie. LOL I think I ended up using the Genie to get through the game. It was hard with punch and kick. Fighting style is like Double Dragon 2. It would make a good sequle these days compaired to all the crap. I stood out of the water kicking to kill the crock without getting hit. The game was cool at the time because it had, fighting, driving, and shooting.
wow. it has been a long time. bayou billy is a beat'em'up action jump'n'run adventure. but that's not all. you have to drive and shoot as well. if you ever play it, please be sure not to choose the wrong mission because you won't be able to shoot without a nintendo hardware gun.

Dragon's Lair isn't that hard once you learn the patterns. The game is all about trial and error and if you have the patience to figure the stages out - it's really simple... and boring. I don't advise for it. This game has no real pattern, you just have to abuse the fuck out of the game system. Watch a speed run or something and you'll get it.
Congratulations. I'm baffled that a 6 year old managed to defeat that game....the only game for NES that I still have yet to beat. By the way, what is the strategy to defeat Mike Tyson in Punch Out!?
You got to watch out for the swamp ninjas. they are ninjas, with all the ninjas techniques, that hide in swamps, this makes them ten times deadlier than an ordinary ninja...and smelly
Great vid! Lol...yea this game is a tough one...but definitely not the hardest. It did take me forever to beat it back in the day. Battletoads and GnG are still much harder...but this one should be up there among the most hair-pulling and curse worthy titles on the NES. :)
I never could beat the game when I was a kid but I discovered if you go through the practice rounds you get power ups that will help you. I finally beat it without using the game genie

Dragon's Lair isn't that hard once you learn the patterns. The game is all about trial and error and if you have the patience to figure the stages out - it's really simple... and boring. I don't advise for it. This game has no real pattern, you just have to abuse the fuck out of the game system. Watch a speed run or something and you'll get it.

It is possible to defeat this game.
The hardest game out there is Mike Tyson's Punch Out. Nearly Impossible to beat.

You got to watch out for the swamp ninjas. they are ninjas, with all the ninjas techniques, that hide in swamps, this makes them ten times deadlier than an ordinary ninja...and smelly

Great vid! Lol...yea this game is a tough one...but definitely not the hardest. It did take me forever to beat it back in the day. Battletoads and GnG are still much harder...but this one should be up there among the most hair-pulling and curse worthy titles on the NES. :)

I never could beat the game when I was a kid but I discovered if you go through the practice rounds you get power ups that will help you. I finally beat it without using the game genie
