  • YOU GET: WILD COIL- oh wait wrong spring themed stage wrong game series

  • Press 0:06 to skip the pause

  • SONIC 5 :OOO

  • how come all your sonic songs pause? Anyone else have this happen to them?

it bugs me! I want to give you views but i hate interruptions -__- maybe you have no control thats bad but ya know?

  • Man, I love this song. Why can't I turn up my speakers past max? I wanna jam, damnit!

  • This is dope!

  • For some reason, I could totally see a marching band doing this song...

  • its like all the real talent is gone today, i remember the golden age when we had our favorite games coming out every year, and the characters were so alive, but now games take many years to come out with broken promises and the same characters over and over

  • We should challenge DeStorm to do a rap to this beat!

  • AMOR SE LLAMA ESTO

  • Song makes me think of pooping in urinals.

  • @SaviorQuest I was putting that in mind after I posted that comment, it would kinda be boring as modern sonic and just can't really see it.

  • I can imagine Larry Craig sodomizing a butthole with this song at FULL BLAST since his rancid fuck dick can creature a fecal semen mixture to mutate gay dudes with. Political scandals just had to curtail that genetic engineering, didn't it?

  • Why couldnt they put this in generations?

  • @howieization I do love this level, but I kinda happy it isn't in Generations. I can't really imagine playing this level with Modern Sonic.

  • Sadly, my first taste of this was playing Unfair Platformer.

  • Sonic is the name and speed is my game, I make thunder and lightning look like one and the same. Rockin the red shoes, blue 'do, voodoo curse upon anyone that's makin the planet any worse....

  • Makes me think of 2pac so much...

  • If Sonic Generations have DLC, I hope Spring Yard returns!

  • dubstep 13 years before dubstep was conceived amazing

  • @whysignup6 ...wat

  • @whysignup6 Actually it's more New Jack Swing...

  • I guess you could say in this zone *shades* Sonic has a SPRING in every step.

    YYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!

  • Spring Yard Zone, otherwse known as the theme to the Unfair Platformer.

  • @Waluigifan95 ... No, it's known as the theme for Spring Yard Zone. That piece of shit is so worthless it had to steal.

  • This is my favoret level in the whole game. Why? It has the catchyest music, it is a million times easyer then marble zone, it is fun, it is flashy, and most of all it is not labyrinth zone, because I HATE LABYRINTH ZONE!!!!!!!

  • @Wolfgang01011 everybody hate labyrinth zone

  • You owe me some money (I know you got it, I know you got it) empty out your pockets nooooooow. You are pissing me off (I'm getting angry, I'm getting angry) Come out of my money, or my foot's going in your ass!

  • I asked my learning mentor at school 2 years ago what a spring yard was. And she replied:

'A yard that blossoms with beautiful flowers in Spring'

I wonder if Sega thought the same idea when creating the Spring Yard Zone? Only replacing the flowers with Sonic springs & pinball bumpers...

  • tuuuuuune!

  • I fucking love this music. It's sad that video game music from the 90's is better than any of the shit being put out today.

  • @cfcefa09

You obviously haven't listened to Kingdom Hearts.

  • @cfcefa09

Amen, my friend. It's always such a blessing to see people appreciating art -- like the music for the old Sonic games. Sonic probably has the best music out of all games I have invested time into, which equals several hundreds of titles. Springyard, Casino Night, Starlight, Aquatic Ruin, and Marble Zone put music of today to shame so much it's not even funny.

  • @cfcefa09 Well, I can't say I agree entirely. Yes, classic video game music is amazing and I love it, but modern games have some excellent soundtracks too. Look at Rayman Origins. All the spirit and fun of older games, except with a live orchestra. How kick ass is that?

  • @cfcefa09 The VGM in the 90's WAS awesome, I still listen to it a lot. But some soundtracks of today still ought to be commended too. Don't limit yourself to a certain era either, you'd be surprised how many great tracks that are being released on current gen games.

  • SOMEBODY NEEDS TO SAMPLE THIS!!!!

  • Bobby Brown, Every step I take. lol

  • @vfIskullangel haha youre right that had to be where the got the inspiration.

  • @vfIskullangel ahh! you ruined it!

  • 1066 Bobby Browns liked this

  • This stage was just freaking evil.

Even though Sonic 1 really started everything, the 1st game really made sure that if you went fast ALL the time, it was a death wish. Best example was in Spring Yard. You THINK you get on an incline and start running fast...and find yourself plunging into a spike ball.

  • Shit is jammin'.

  • man my childhood was awesome thx sonic. fuck u mario

  • Man I love this it's super smooth. brings back memories of coming home from school and firing up this baby

  • Lol, the Unfair Platformer uses this soundtrack :P

  • That's why they call me Sonic.

I'm faster than the speed of sound and light combined.

And when I roll into a ball and I'm breakin' your shit, spinnin' and hittin' you with maximum force that won't quit.

  • @FangedDragon01 Nice quick freestyle. Lol

  • I reckon out of Sonic 1 & 2, the first game had better music. :) Even for Labyrinth Zone, as much as the zone annoys me, the music is sweet.

  • PHYSICSS!!

  • this is GOLD

  • Sounds like a Kirk Franklin song

  • They use ring sounds for this track... awesome.

  • "And when you can't take it anymore, I'll do it again

"Because I gotta fuckin' win in order to save my friends, man

"AIN'T NO ONE GONNA BE FUCKIN' WITH ME"

    X3

  • THANK YOU SO MUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH!!!

BEEN LOOKIN EVERYWHERE FOR THIS VERY SONG!!!

    >O<

    THUMBS UPZ!!!!!

  • I was lookin all over for this

  • every little step i take... you will be there!

every little step i make.. we'll be together!

no wonder this inspired bobby brown. it's insane!

  • Comment removed

  • very awesome, reminds me playing this, i was always scared of that blue robot that turns into a ball, it always appeared from nowhere

  • Am i the only one who can hear the Donkey Kong theme at 0:05? lol

  • @TheWhale55 Hahaha, always thought that too

  • When I heard this song, I was thinking 'Why is this song etched into my mind?!'

Then I remembered it's the background music for the 'Unfair Platformer'...

  • @CharmanderBoy4444 sounds like somebody had a Nintendo back in the day. go back to Mario with that nonsense, son......

  • @ThaResistance1987 Meh, Mario isn't all that. If I actually got my hands on a proper Sonic game... It'd be epic.

  • Why is Bobby Brown "Every little step" The featured video?

  • @sailorsillystars there is a lot of similarities between his song And Spring Yard Zone

  • Sonic is the name and speed is my game. I make thunder and lightning look like one in the same! Rockin' the red shoes, blue do, voodoo curse upon anyone thats making the planet any worse.

  • Fresh Prince of Spring Yard Zone XD

  • I just learned this on my guitar. EPIC now i know 2 sonic one songs and i know 2 sonic two songs!!!!!

  • Classic. Also Dr robotnic theme

  • If I never played Sonic 1...my first impression on this tune would be that it came from an epic snow-themed level =)

  • Thats it. I'm buying a Genesis.

  • @Oddrat255 LOLOLOLOL

  • I love how song is so related to Bobby Brown, that the Every Little Step video is on the top of suggestions!

  • 14 people ended up in winter yard zone

  • @shadowallstar9 NO SPRING IS A BOUNCY THING....what?

  • @shadowallstar9 hey :/ winter's good too...

  • Up, down, left, right, hold A, start. Ha! I still remember the cheat code for this game. It unlocks every level including the special stages. Take that sega!!

  • @anilas2388 konami code everywhere

  • Bobby Brown for the win! Every little step I take… Sonic rules.

  • Sometimes this song runs through my head all day--can't help but swagger, but I really wish that it were more than a minute long. XD

  • Just heard this while waiting to talk to someone at GameStop customer support.

  • @skullman555626 Wow, that increases my respect for the company. XD

  • @skullman555626 I called gamestop originally to track a package but when i heard this......I just started calling to put my phone on speaker just to dance to SONIC!!!!

  • I love 0:36 to 0:39

  • So many memories. This was my fav level and music from sonic 1.

  • what does COPE mean on this level? i never knew what it was. LOL

  • I'm amazed by the sound chip in the sega. I seriously wish musicians would use it in modern music. it produces some amazing effects.

  • @pancakewafflebacon people do. while most people use the nes or gameboy to make chiptunes, i've heard my fair share of people using the genesis.

  • @TheBoyInBlack I like the genesis better. the sound chip is actually the same used in some old school professional synthesizers.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=iuWnNwrIvYA this does not get stuck... stop giving this guy views until he fixes his damn uploads they all get stuck

  • :D

  • That's why they call me Sonic. I'm faster than the speed the light and sound combined....

  • @Kaisarfire dnb fan, nice

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!

  • It almost sounds like something 311 would write o.O

  • Why is Bobby Brown's "Evey little step I take" in the suggestions?

*listens to Every little step*... Oh I see.

Eh, to be honest I've notice the likenesses before as a kid.

  • Good old sound...remind me of school jailbreak for only playing this awesome Game...Freak out man...

  • Sick 100/100

  • Best part 0:21

  • like this comment if this track reminded you of the fresh prince of bel air... oh that was just me...

  • @beastb83 it also reminds me of the paula abdul song "straight up"

  • @dsaerno yeah same they sound very similar

  • @beastb83 I was thinking of Fresh Prince of Bel Air and that's what made me think of this song.

  • @beastb83 To me it kinda sound like it says I got jungle fever from that Spike Lee movie. Damn I miss my childhood sooo much don't we all!!

  • @beastb83 yeah i can listen to will smith

  • sonic is one of the best games i have ever played <3

  • god bless the CRES!!!! i.e. the crescent fresh

    ( the 90's)

  • i wanna fucking cry right now man.

  • @MrMastaPlanna you're not the only one lol

  • @MrMastaPlanna i will cry with u T_T

  • kai's videos always stop at the same spot

  • Everything dealing with entertainment was good in the 90's

  • sonic 1's snare ftw!

  • @murphy341 haha right? I should find it and use it to make oldschool 16bit music tracks. Or you should :P

  • :3 Sonic 83

  • HAPPY 20th ANNIVERSARY SONIC!!!

  • I lost concentration playing the game once I got to Spring Yard Zone, I just wanted to listen to the tune! Brings back good early 90s gaming memories and its time for a New Jack Swing revival!

  • I just realized that at the parts such as from 0:22 to 0:38, that one instrument is actually the ring noise, just with the octaves changed to make music and stuff.

Just wanted to say that. :V

  • Ahh - The impossible platformer music.

  • @Oddrat255 just perfect..lol

  • @Oddrat255 LMAO

  • @Oddrat255 LOL now every time i hear this song i will involuntarily mutter "Gimme all your money..."

  • @Oddrat255 ahahaah looooll

  • @Oddrat255 Brilliant! Lmao!!

  • @Oddrat255 are you proud of what you've done, sir

  • @Oddrat255 The 2nd part needs lyrics. Something along the lines of:

"Why don't we go over there and I'll buy you a sandwich, no?

Why don't we go over here and I'll help get you a job?

Why don't we walk over here, and I'll show you to my house?

It's conveniently next to a police station!"

    ;3

  • @Oddrat255 MOAR

  • The funny thing is that this zone might have the most descriptive name out of all of them.

Spring Yard Zone: A yard full of springs. Like..., in the game!

  • @RedLink27 OHHH That's why it's called that! As a kid I was always wondering what on earth the season Spring had to do with this level.

  • Cheif: Oh god, I can't belive I killed that guy, I'm in some deep [Content deleted] (picture of Cheif stuck in a giant turd)

  • Sonic 1 heavily used alot of famous songs in its music. Still love the FM sounding version of everyone of them.

  • UNFAIR PLATFORMER!

  • @Alcidix12 I'm guessing you didn't beat the game.

  • @Katonachan you are absolutely right! :D

  • @Katonachan How did you know?

  • @Alcidix12 Because the game really isn't unfair. Or hard - at least not to the other classic games. No offence, but to me you sounded like a ragequitter.

  • 13 people didn't pass the spring yard zone

  • @bluefeonixproduction , LOL! It was an easy level.

  • I love the music of this level....Long live Sonic The Hedgehog and The 90's!

  • quarter of a million views, wow

  • i hate this level XD but the music is awesome

  • i hate this level XD

  • I love how Bobby Brown is linked as a response. I can't think of this track without thinking of his music. It's one thing that makes this track so great...of all the gaming music I've heard, it's the one that most reminds me of the early 90s, and, by extension, of my childhood.

Spring Yard Zone is pure nostalgia.

  • @iffysam , i didn't just hit until know. Yea, Bobby' browns Every Little Step I Take reminds me of this level!

  • Well I guess we're gunna have to take control.

  • sonic's the name and speed is my game. I make thunder and lightning look like one of the same. Rockin' the red shoes, blue 'do voodoo curse, Upon anyone that's makin' the planet any worse, like this Dr. Robotnick, Eggman dude. He thinks he's got a fightin' chance against a hedgehog with an attitude, just wait until I see him again, He'll wish a thousand fuckin' times he didn't do what he did. Come on!

  • @VenusDjinni I know where you got that from

  • Reminds me a lot of my childhood... and weirdly johnathan coachman...

  • my fav part 0.22-40

  • @bigamem18

    its everyones favorite part ^^

I even start singing at that part... (yeah, for realz) I start singing about love and stuff... you know... like FAG!

oh... but its not about me... its about you! And your cleaver comment!... Ok I need to stop doing it....

    BYE!!!

    boobies!....

  • @pufixas lol well im happy for the new sonic game coming out

  • Unfair platformer

  • for some weird reason, on my of this game, the music plays about half as slow as this...

  • @raikona You must live in Europe, the music is slower in the European versions. Look it up!

  • @DigiTheHedgehog I found all the familiar versions of the Sonic 1 tracks thanks to you

I guess they sold the European version in Australia

  • @raikona I know how you feel, man. When I first started looking up Sonic 1 music on YouTube, I kept thinking 'Was my cartridge broken? This music is too fast!'. The more you know, man.

  • Oh the memories.

  • Sweet...Classic tune in Sonic The Hedgehog

  • Would you believe I remember this song because of a dream I had once? When I hadn't played Sonic in years, this stage popped up in my dream with the music and I was destined to play it again. Years later, I got Mega Collection and this stage is exactly what it was all those years back. XD

  • i sang along without words

  • I love this stage but I kept on face planting into the spike ball. -_-

  • 13 people had a snes in there childhood

  • This is the one level that makes me think, what happened to the original Sonic. The 90's had the greatest video game character and music in their arsenal. I want it back.

  • The 90's were the golden era of videogames, only gamers who lived and played these games during that time know better that these good times are gone. Long live sonic.

  • @Thesantitb i agree

  • @Thesantitb And then there was Nomad. AND NOW A GEN MOBILE!

  • @Thesantitb I feel like you have to be 25 years and older to really appreciate videogames, having been there at the impressionable young age when your brain learned to develop better because of them. The only game lately that is any good that everyone should play is Portal and Portal 2. I was 7 when I got a Genesis and I played the hell out of this game for years. Used to play my older sisters in the 2player races. Sonic is one of my top 3 game series of all time.

  • @Thesantitb i wasn't alive then and i love these games. i should be into the more modern games because of my young age but i prefer retro gaming. you can really appreciate it a lot more. and sonic 2 on ps3 and hope to get the ps2 mega collection.i wish i could have been one of those people who has the genesis, but alas i am not.

  • @Thesantitb i agree

  • @Thesantitb I've quit playing, and I don't think I've played a game in the last decade that compares to the '90s games. It might be me getting older, but newer games are just no fun to play.

  • @Thesantitb New gamers (ie teens and younger kids) can't appreciate these classics. This was the first game my brother and I played (I'm 23 and he's 20). It all started here for us, the Genesis and Sonic.

  • @dagger1087 Hell yes. I still remember all my first few games. Let's see...

Super Mario Bros. Sonic 1, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, and Mortal Kombat. Ahh, nothing like the good ol' days.

  • @Thesantitb everyone thinks that their games are the best era of gaming. people who grew up in the 70's think space invaders and pac man were the best, people who grew up in the 80's thought castlevania and mario were the best, etc. there's a lot of nostalgia bias when it comes to gaming.
