  • i watch 52 sec of this and i see its propoganda. they is saying if you are against burning fossil fuel you want mud hutts in Africa?

that ridiculous. fuel isn't the only way you could provided energy. the amount of sunlight that his the u.s in one hour can power the world for a year.

maybe we could figure out a way to capture lighting as an energy source

i support oil but the first 52sec of this is stupid

  • @mrfwest

That is probably the most ridicules thing I have ever heard. If sunlight were such a good power source why does China (who is the worlds largest manufacturer of solar panels) drill for oil all over the world??

Why don't they take your advice and stop using coal and oil?? Oh wait could it be that it would wreck their economy and lead to even more food riots.

  • @CSATexan first i said " the amount of sunlight that his the u.s in one hour can power the world for a year." i also said figure out other ways. everything you said about china is irrelevant bullshit. i never said oil is good for energy as of today....... i was just point out how this video is propaganda

  • @mrfwest

There is no other way other than nuclear power. IF their were another way it would be use. Until someone invents something talking about i is fantasy

  • what an ugly Man

  • Ann McElhinney is so great. Right in every aspect.

  • Debate? A liberal's worst nightmare.

  • @JoshPahr pick a subject, any subject

  • Al Gore is a turd that needs to be flushed.

  • The "Fossil" in Fossil Fuels is also a LIE ! (peak oil lie) - The crude OIL is produced by our lovely Mother EARTH naturally , which was placed here by our Holy Father in The Heavens !!! - OIL IS A RENEWABLE RESOURCE !!!

  • @WhereEaglesDareWWII Oil takes millennia to be produced naturally...The usage of oil and other fossil-fuels is being consumed at a rate in the order of billions of times compared to it being produced by the earth. Of course there are technologies being developed into finding alternatives such as bio-fuels but they are still prohibitively expensive. There is always a compromise.

  • @WhereEaglesDareWWII I am praying for you, u poor misguided soul

  • I'll trade her for Michael Moore any day!

  • All evil has to do with the violation of individual rights. The environmental movement is artificially stimulated by government subsidy, which is- you guessed it, stealing money from everyone involuntarily to fund "green" research and industry. This is evil and will and has resulted in massive misallocation of capital in technologies that are not ready and are faulty. Technologies deemed, by political opinion, not scientific proof, to be "green." This is insanity. Free the markets.

  • Love to see morons (=liberals) lose it when confronted with the truth.

    Liberalism = Evil

  • Dear Ann, you are evil, it`s not all about wealth and its not all about humans, world population has doubled since 1960, we better take care of our tiny planet...

  • @pushadabest

Actually, human morality is just about humans. Just as the morality of say, a cheetah, is all about cheetahs. Good and evil begs the question, good and evil to whom? Also, the planet will be just fine without us- but we won't be fine without us.

  • "Heritage Foundation"

    Ha ha ha ha !

Fuck off you Reich-wing fuckwits. Who is this vapid, idiot woman ? Not that idiot tartzi who made the film, sponsored by the mining industry, about how selfish those Eastern European villagers ('peasants', I think she called them...) were as they opposed the rape of their village by, uh, the mining industry ?

Now she and some pseudo-Phlegm maker from the stupid side of Ireland is sucking off to the Denierosphere ?

    Oxygen thieves, all of them.

  • Do you have any details on this "green" health center?

They do have a lot of rural areas with no power in Kenya. They may use solar power because that's the only option. You can build the panels somewhere else and easily ship them there. Do you have a better idea?

But if you think they are using solar power to "go green" you are as dumb as Ann McElhinney.

  • They had a diesel generator before which could power everything no problem but they were forced to change over to solar by their UN funding organisation due to pressure from idiotic eco-facists like you.

  • Where are you getting this information? You are talking about some medical center in Kenya. Which one? How are we supposed to check into this if you provide no information about the center?

  • Google 'Killing the African dream of development' or watch part 8 of 'The Great Global Warming Swindle'

  • Do you have a source that isn't complete bullshit? How about the name of the clinic in the video?

The idea that evnironmentalists are preventing the development of Africa is simply insane. These people have always been without electricity. If you think that you can help them with fossil fuels, go ahead. Lets see you hook up a remote village 100 miles away from the nearest power source, or bring a regular supply of gas for generators. I promise, no environmentalists will stop you.

  • The point is that foreign and local aid funds are being diverted to expensive renewable energy schemes to assuage the 'climate guilt' of ignorant environmentalists - when what they need is a cheap, efficient diesel generator + regular deliveries of diesel (they do have roads). ie. They need to develop in the same way we developed in the West. It is development and wealth which will ultimately improve their enviroment and stabilise their population as it has done in the West.

  • >> "The point is that foreign and local aid funds are being diverted to expensive renewable energy schemes to assuage the 'climate guilt' of ignort environmentalists ..."

The point is that you have no idea what you are talking about. This is simply not happening. You cannot come up with a single example, other than some unnamed medical clinic in Kenya, which is impossible to chenk with the information you gave.

  • I really like most of what Ann says. I don't like that she paints Michael Moore as someone that doesn't love his country. He may not like alot about what is happening in his country (and I believe he is also against cap and trade), but I believe he loves his country. Painting him as something he is not does not help Ann's message.

    Dan

  • "Where does the electricity come from? Hilarious? They don't think about that."

Is this a joke? Seriously? I find it hard to believe that anybody could be this stupid.

  • I believe the point she's trying to make is that while electric cars don't produce CO2 themselves, the electricity required to charge them is primarily generated by CO2-emitting fossil-fuelled power stations. So it's a double folly: Prius drivers think they're 'saving the planet' when infact they emit just as much CO2 - which ironically is irrelevent anyway since CO2 is harmless plant food and has no significant effect on the climate.

  • That point she is trying to make is completely obvious to anybody with an IQ over 70. What she seems to be missing is that electric cars are more efficient. There have been studies on this, and yes we have thought about it.

  • If you consider overall energy efficiency - including the power station, transmission losses, battery losses and energy spent moving the 50KG battery around - they are no more energy efficient than a conventional car. However, if the electricity is generated by nuclear or wind etc - then the CO2 is less - but since CO2 is a harmless natural trace gas which boosts plant growth, this is no real benefit atall. They cost much more than conventional cars so they're an inefficient use of money.

  • If you consider overall efficiency, hybrids are better than conventional cars. I don't know where you get your information.

  • If the electricity is generated from a gasoline engine - and that energy is converted to electricity, and then sent through power line transformers and power lines, and then converted to DC to charge a battery, and then converted back to electrical energy, and then converted to rotary mechanical energy - it is clear that many losses have occurred. If the same gasoline motor was providing the rotary energy directly to the drive train, it is much more efficient.

  • I don't have any numbers to back me up (and you don't either), but I'm fairly certain that this is wrong. A large power plant that supplies electricity to half a million people would be far more efficient than half a million individual generators.

Transmission losses are relatively small. You also have to take into account the energy it takes to supply gas to the individual generators.

  • Yes, I am fighting mad about the AGW fraud and I wrote to the mainstream media and told them so.

  • Get informed and spread the word about the global warming hoax, many people are still only dimly aware of the other side of the story that the media has suppressed.

  • Unfortunately, she looks like she is still carried away with the political wrestling match presented by the mainstream media. She also hasn't explained why such a conspiracy has taken place (apart from a few minor points) and that her view is still suffering from tunnel vision. I recommend that she and everybody else should watch the documentaries Endgame, Terrorstorm, Dark Secrets Inside Bohemian Grove and Fall of the Republic in that order. Thanks.

  • @graciouswisestrong Alex Jones is the new Spielberg!

  • I know you are all going to say that the Republicans weren't holding true conservative values with Bush but even then conservatism can be seen as a party in its own right and also has the potential (liberalism included) to fool the people into thinking that it works for them. I also think that this person has awoken to the 'natural' ;) corruption that occurs in society and politics no matter what system of rule and law there is.

  • Although I agree with some of her information put forward, I don't agree with the "brilliance" of conservatives. I wholeheartedly believe that the idea of putting faith in a political party and expecting that they will uphold your morals and values is a bit naive. Corruption does tend to get away at such political parties (shown with the Bush administration) and believing that they are upholding your ideas just because they have the rubber stamp saying they are conservative is only an illusion.

  • @graciouswisestrong Bush is not a conservative... I think you need to go back to school and get the real meaning of a conservative (think ron paul)

  • @benandreas369 LOL! Ron Paul a conservative? I think you need to go back to school to find out what a libertarian is.

  • @graciouswisestrong owned! Ron Paul style

  • @PeterEQUALSawesome Peter=Fail!

  • @graciouswisestrong Ron Paul supports the new youtube layout!

  • @PeterEQUALSawesome Youtube is so stupid that they allow chumps like you to have their comments seen instead of it being marked as spam! RETARDS!

  • @graciouswisestrong Supressing free speach are we? That is so typical of you NWO elitists

  • @PeterEQUALSawesome I'm not an elitist yet! lol

  • What is the name of the movie

  • Not Evil, Just Wrong

  • BRAVO!!!!! I love this woman. I wish that I could be (even as much of a "fabulous mess of a speaker") as clear when I try to argue these points with others. I'm ordering this movie right now, and forcing my children and friends to watch it (even though I'm a month late!!).

  • They are teaching children a kind of materialistic Apocalypse in much the same way people were taught in the past about the theological (Christian) Apocalypse. It is a sort of pseudo-scientific transformation of the old Judeo-Christian eschatology.

  • You forget something: The Christian Apocalypse is exactly what is being led up to with Islam and the Socialist teachings that Globull warming is a part of. Read Rev 13

  • That they continue to frighten, sadden, and worry our children of the world, is most abhorrent. Do not think for a moment, that the agenda is about any thing other than power and money.

  • Does this make anybody else fighting angry?

  • most certainly. But probably not in the way most people (americans) would like.

  • @81broncoman

Absolutely! She makes me angry at the MSM, at people like Al Gore and all those shoving the lies of environmentalism down our throats, and especially at those who value human life so little that they have no problem letting people (especially children) die by banning DDT.

    Fighting angry, indeed!

  • @81broncoman Perhaps you too have some wild Irish blood in yer !!! :-)
