For all you people who enjoyed this game, try SkyDrift in Steam. It's the closest to a modern day SW Racer, though it also mixes in some Mario Kart style gameplay (power-ups and attacks). It's pretty cool and has multiplayer. The single player campaign is a little short, though.

I remember playing this beauty on a friend's house in the N64, good times when i played perfect dark, diddy kong racing, donkey kong adventures, super mario 64, zelda, paper mario, STARCRAFT on n64, mario party, kirby, star fox, goldeneye, so many games i played i could be like this 2 days...

when I was young gave my parents me this game, that was the first game in my life ( and probably the best one). But they buyed it in Germany and I diidnt understand where they are talking about. I was 6, but I finished the game after one year. If I play a few days like 3 I can finishe it. Much to simpel.

I would prefer a game where you have to disign your one pod and must have good earodinemics, and you had line your pod in three dimensions first from the front, then from the left or something

I think the fastest lap I ever hit on the Boonta training course was like 39 seconds with Ben Quadrinaros, but I honestly don't remember. Such an awesome game. I just wish that some of the other pods weren't so darn slow...

imagine this nowaday: extreme speeds, beautiful crash physics, wide open levels. although i would like to see a game like this but have it so that crashing doesnt happen to often and no respawns (that way its like your life is on the line; no spawn-die-spawn-die-spawn crap). oh and make the vehicles more evenly matched so that their would be more racer vs racer action. this game you either zoomed past them or got horibly out ran

@BRPhillis na im sorry but you're actually wrong about that... im not completely sure why modern graphics cards dont work on this game but my best guess would be that it runs an obsolete graphics engine which is not compatible with modern cards

@lcfrag You just move the joystick on the controller forward when the speed meter is full and the circle is green, then the speed meter will fill up again and when thats full then you can press the A button for the boost.

i unlocked sebulba and he had the flamethrower only on the right tho

i did it first try but then again i was little and if i wasnt winning on lap 3 id usualy restart the race :|

and if this is for pc the engines sound different as in the 64 version they all sounded the same and this is different i can tell

This game stole more of my childhood than any other, it was the best thing to come from the Phantom Menaces release. Id love to see a remake of this. For now though does anybody know how to get this to run on vista 64bit?

You would have to start a windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, or Vista 32 bit or some other os environment via virtual pc and run the game there, assuming it is 16 bit (vista 64 bit can't run 16 bit games).

idk if windows 7 would help...main point is 16 bit games don't work on 64 bit systems so if you had 32 bit vista it would work
