@kellotatoo Indeed. That woman seems to get into trouble a bit to much and it's always "SHINICHI!"

She needs to put her skills to actuall use rather than almost always falling into the place of the damsel in distress calling out to her knight in shining armor. Pardon the Ran bashing. I just dislike her with great intensity. Whenever she isn't actually being cool, shes being depressed about missing Shinichi and bla bla. ^^;

Exactly, and even if you do call for help, call someone you know that will actually help you like Conan or Kogorou. Calling Shinichi is just stupid since he will never save her even though we know that Conan does (since he technically is Shinichi) but Ran doesn't. This is just a ploy to get Shinran fans to yelp like puppies and pay money to watch the movie (do not start cursing me since I am merely expressing my own individual opinion).

@varoon3 If you read my post fully you would see that I didn't "dismiss" those times. I am aware of the times where she has actually defended herself and was totally bad ass about it. It just seems that whenever she 'doesn't' defend herself, she always baws for Shinichi. The one person whom can't generally help her.[even though he does as Conan]

The only time she seems to kick butt, is when Conan gets into deep shet or something.

Hope that didn't sound to.. Agressive.. I detest arguements.o ^o

Geez....the creator of the movies must really love bombs......including this movie, it's the 9th movie involving bombs! But oh well......I love these bomb-involved movies :D Can't wait for this to come out!

I heard rumor back in 2010 that the next film would be about a case involving Conan and the gang going to Europe, but then I find out it's just about soccer and more bombs.. :/

nah movie 15's trailer was the best. I mean, I love DC movies but doesn't this remind you of a regular episode? And doesn't this 'omfg theres a bomb, run ran' thing seem really really cheesy? It's kinda like movie 14 and 15 together.

@sakurafai That's the exact case I was thinking of when I saw this trailer. It's kinda of a bummer since it doesn't look all that different and there's no Heiji (yet).

@sakurafai It was baseball, but yes, this is very much like that. But with how many eps show has, it's kinda hard to be really original. And is anyone else annoyed by the blatantly obvious CGI backgrounds they've been using?

Eh, Gosho's been doing it for 17 years now, I'm sure the movie makers can come up with SOMETHING, they made 13 different, distinctive movies after all.

@sakurafai No, the CGI backgrounds are just so different from the drawing style and it's simply a little annoying. And thirteen? Which two movies do you not consider distinct?

@6666animefreak66 The fourteenth, it was a lovely movie, but the plot was done before. There was a blimp story in the manga if I remember correctly....

And the animators are getting lazier with each one. XD Back with the first movie, it was all hand, and now.... ;)
