When i as about 8 i got 2 hamsters and put them in the same cage both Females and they would bite each other and scratch each other so i would hav to have 2 seperate cages would the same thing happen with 2 male or 2 femal gerbils? & or Male Female too ? ?
@CoolKid030 Yeah it's true, gerbils are very social. And it is pretty important for a gerbil to have a buddy. I have two brothers and they do everything together: Eat, sleep, play, they wash each other and build their nest together. So if you get two gerbils I suggest you take two brothers or two sisters from the same litter. If you get two older gerbils above the 8 weeks then they will need to get introduced to each other first. :)

@CoolKid030 Hamsters aren't very... sociable really. Gerbils can live ok on their own, so long as they get a lot of contact from their owners. It's usually better to have a pair though. A pair need to be either bought together (preferrably from the same litter) or introduced slowly, and properly to prevent fighting. 2 males or 2 females is fine. Be careful with breeding sets, because parents can (and will) breed with their kids.
@Gerbilguy111 my gerbils look the same after they wake up :) and they do have a bowl of clean sand :) all the time ;) Those two girls just have a bad hair day ;) We all are allowed to have one now and then ;)

That wouldnt be good for the hamster. It is probably already bonded and taking it back would just make it depressed.
