My sister lives in a state of drama, though she only remains there for her undying crave for attention. So she has to make everything dramatic so everyone will either notice her or feel sorry for her. Drama queens are extremely annoying.
"People...whoof!" You're too adorable sweets. Goodness, I so needed this video right now more than ever! Thank you so much for just being...you.I have recently let myself become one of those people and I don't even know why. I used to always make sure to stay conscious of the fact that everyone has their fair share of troubles. I'd never been the kind of person to put so much focus on my own.Maybe that's the problem. I've lived my life always putting myself last and now it's all coming back.=/
My grandmother's neighbor has had 3 out of four children die (1 committed suicide on Christmas) and her husband had a second family with children in both families and nobody knew about it until he died.
I think it's just a magnified version of what most people do. Their thoughts are really all about what other people should do or shouldn't do, not realizing that they are talking about themselves. They mentally run other people's lives and business because they are upset about their own and can't touch it. or something. :)
I've been thinking about this for a couple of days now. I know exactly what you mean. I suspect that at some level they feel unimportant, maybe unloved, and probably uninteresting and do it in order to feel as large as life, if not larger than life. Some of them, I think, are just disturbed, and that is sad, but annoying nonetheless. BTW, highest marks go to the girl in New England for most beautiful channel art!
the drama lover, who seems to revel and cause drama; seems a certain personality type that both attracts and is themselves the cause of said drama. philosophy for self....AVOID!
this is so true- i had a friend for about 10 years who constantly created reasons to have fights with friends, it was like there was a rotating chart of who to fight with next. I finally got the hell away from her. And still, every so often I see a facebook friend request from her... no thanks!
i have noticed with the dramatic people that i have met most of them were the only child and spoiled rotten. they got used to being the center of attention at home and begin to expect it everywhere else. so they do anything to be at the center of attention.
Attention Whores...they have to be the center of attention, and a good way of doing that is over dramaticizing everything. Self-centered egotistical people that feel the world does, in fact, revolve around them. And the more drama they create, or the more dramatically they react, then the more they find themselves in the focus of others.
I just came up with that with very little thought, so I'm probably way off base, heh.
I think that you have chosen a rather permiating topic with your latest video. As a part of my Journalism degree at University I've been studying drama in detail. I've analysed a lot of Jean Baudrillard's philosophical papers that address the interactions between symbols, reality and society in relation to all types of drama. i.e. interpersonal, entertainment, political etc.
Try reading his "Simulacra and Simulation" treatise. I think that you would like it.
In drama or for drama? IMO people live in drama meaning their lives are really difficult for whatever reason but living for drama means they will create it. Of course these two will mesh. And yes living in/for drama will attract more. I think they use drama as a means to not have to deal with themselves, their past or their present.
People that grow up in a chaotic environment have difficulty adjusting as adults. They only find comfort and familiarity in similar settings. Therefore, they will create drama where none exists in an attempt to feel comfortable. Take a look at your friends childhood.
Aren't you living in drama and being dramatic. Hell you made a video about it. Sounds convoluted to me. Bringing up a topic like disliking people who are dramatic and complaining about it, to me, seems like a dra-mast-tic thing to do. Are you hoping to cure being dramatic?
By bringing up a topic about people living in a dramatic state constantly I dont think I fit that description. How am I living in misery by making this video?
That is entirely incorrect. Your first message was extremely rude. Why would I then have a dialog with someone who is talking down to me for no apparent reason? I wasn't rude to you, however you went out of your way to be rude to me...thereby creating drama :)
I also searched out the definition of drama and posted it to back up my statement and your response was not a counter argument. I am sorry but when someone blames everyone else for their situation the only common denominator is that person. Some people just can't take responsibility. If a counter argument is not pursued, then it is evident that it was never about the argument and more disagreement out of frusteration.
I guess being rude is having an opinion and being inquisitive. You are pursuing your own argument that you created. I didn't blame anyone . I merely asked you a question that you have yet to answer. stop acting like such a victim here.
I am the victim? "Everyone left me and doesn't talk to me." I wonder who said that to me...hmmm. You then after I tried to be supportive called me an idiot and you call me dramatic? I am not one to name call. I have answered the question on the original message.
Under that pretense then anyone who has ever expressed negative emotions would be considered "dramatic" which is completely untrue. Drama also means that a person would have to react in such a way that the general population would consider excessive. The reaction not befitting the situation.
I have a friend who I have become loathe to see walk into my frame of view, because that friend's life is a MESS.
Life's handed him an absurd amount of drama to deal with, and in my mind, he deals with it in the most ridiculous, disastrous way possible, creating more drama every step of the way.
On an average day, I usually try to avoid him.
On my good days, I'm always surprised to find the thing lying in my heart at the end of our encounter is compassion.
I have a "friend" like that. Just oozes drama. I get a headache just talking to her on the phone for five minutes. On the plus side though, it really gives me perspective on my own life. Every time I think I can't deal with my stressful life, I think about hers and am so thankful. I guess you can learn something from every person.
"You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? Then who the hell else are you talkin' to? You talkin' to me? Well I'm the only one here. Who the f*ck do you think you're talking to?"
I am sorry but I do not tolerate that type of language on my vlog. I will have to speak with you about the tone your message is conveying and ask you to refrain from such practices. Thank you for your time and we ask that you consider others and stop being such a hot bitch. LOVE YOU!
Yes, I have a friend like that and it she really gets annoying sometimes. I don't think that she does it for attention or anything she just has a low self-esteem
If someone has dealt with their toughest matters and are cool with it, they tend to energise people around them just from their presence but especially the way they can always see, through tinted eyes, the good things.
Drama, just like enthusiasm, is a snowball and can gather momentum in either direction as we add to it.
Some people add to their main issue by creating side issues that can manifest to an 'air' about them..good or bad.

Oh, PREACH IT! GAWD! I have been trying to tell everyone around me to just STOP with the freakin' DRAMA! It's obvious though that they just have to live it out to the bitter end. Ugh. I'm too laid back for this shite.
When people have there own personal issues it's "I have a problem." When other people have problems then it's drama.

I used to be a drama queen. It was part of how I dealt with not feeling right about myself (before I realized I was trans). My parents were experts too, I still barely talk to my mother who can't deal with my changes.
Life's too short for the bull now. I cleared such people out of my life as the start of transition, and mainly it was those sorts of folks that were the few that had any issues with my life change. Interesting...hmm...
1st up - either you had an accident with some heavy object or with the make-up kit - which was it? :)

I don't know much about attention, but I know you can get addicted to adrenalin - some can get it pumping just by fluffing about whilst others need to almost kill themselves to get a little dose of it

I have come to the conclusion that musicians come up with such good love songs etc because they can't seem to hold a relationship. This theory boils down to the love of music more than people. (House MD Inspired)
There is so much drama in the Gay,Lesbian, and Transgender community it is unreal. When i was with my x it just enveloped us, i hated it, but she loved it. I also belive that if you are raised around drama as a kid, u almost need drama as an adult. like kid raised in a drug dealing family, more than likly as a adult there gonna deal drugs. Same thing as abused kids, it gets passed down.
There are quite a few people who have made an artwork out of doing the "Stop the Drama" Videos, it's especially bad at Livevideo. People can become addicted to emotions just like they do drugs.
If the cells in the body are exposed enough of one chemical; presto; you have an addiction.
All emotions release chemicals; that we can become addicted to, that is the basic biology behind behavioral addiction.
Yes; we can become addicted to emotions we don't like; our cells are a little stupid, that is why we need to exercise our consciousness.

Same goes in reverse..

If someone feels an injustice in their life, at any stage, and it hasn't been dealt with, then it seems as if they go on tinting everything with the same intensity of the matter not dealt with and sometimes they give the wrong energy to other matters.?8)
