How do you like your FT-2000? There have been MANY negative or lukewarm reviews on 'Eham', and many Hams are hesitant to 'take the plunge'. Any issues of concern? Or should I wait a year or two?

Hey .. i love the radio.. reading alot of the negative comments on it.. i find the users probably didnt take enough time to run through the features and options with the radio and got a little overwhelmed by things. Everything can be adjusted to your likings, the receiver is great, TX audio is very nice... i should have the DMU this week for it... its a great radio.

Thanks for the input/info! It's encouraging to hear positive reviews from happy owners, however to read the many (not few) accounts and reviews of some of the FT-2000 issues is scary, but not surprising. It seems that a lot of new Ham rigs have a history of 'bugs' the first year or two of release. I think I will still wait a year. It is an incredible looking rig though, and I do want one!
