I love that we're now in this time where the culture of being a kid in the eighties is starting to manifest in the 'serious' art of adults who grew up in that period. A hoverboard reference? 'Daniel' being about Daniel San? Bat for Lashes whole evocative ET inspired hoodies and bikes and pine trees thing? ...Too good to be true.
One of the most intense song's I've heard in a long time. It starts out innocent enough but then drops down into this murky hell hole that she is leading us through. what instrument is used throughout? it sounds so macabre towards the end.
She makes me so proud to be of Pakistani ethnicity. Love her so much.

This is actually one of my least favorite songs of hers.... I don't know why, it just doesn't appeal to me in the way her other ones do.

I really don't like her on the cover but I think she's pretty otherwise. It's a creative cover nonetheless, but I'm just not feeling it :P

i know what u mean.. it's abit odd.
have u seen the Daniel video.. at the begin, it should be that. where u see her back.. or maybe when she starts to sing.
but thats just my point of view.

All of her music reminds me of "Golddust Woman" by Fleetwood Mac. It's really wonderful stuff.
