Bobby Jindal could never qualify to be President of the U.S. To be a candidate for President, the Constitution specifies that he must be a Natural Born U.S. citizen. He is not. Natural Born is defined as being born to two native born or natural born U.S. Citizens.
Although now naturalized citizens his parents were born in India. The Founders specified "natural born" as a requirement for POTUS to try to avoid the danger of a having a President with a divided loyalty.

Obama even ignored Jindal's request for sand barriers that would have prevented the oil from ruining senstive wetlands ibn Southern Louisiana while Obama partied up a storm with rich, snooty celebrities at the White House.
Even the mainstream media gave Obama a pass on his slow response to this disaster while they knocked Bush on Katrina

I say this because it's too early to tell, but I'm going by gut feeling. A majority of 18-24 year old voters approve of Obama by 60% or higher. And the year ones? 16 and 17, the approval rating is even higher.
Regan has similar issues and approval ratings at his first term and went on to a second. Bush Sr had way high ratings to begin with and then plummeted.
