@caityrockstar you can be a marine yes ... but your job within the marines will be restricted to anything BUT combat. women cant be in combat in any branch of the military . the closest thing to combat you would be able to be is an mp which is a military police. theres no special training that would make you be able to be in combat . its simply not open to women.

This is what I don't understand. Every man bleeds the same as the next reguardless of what branch they are in. Fighting over which branch is the best is ignorant. All of them do their part. Some people join the national guard to get a degree and get comissioned as an officer into an active duty branch. National Guard soldiers may not deploy as often as active duty soldiers, but they do deploy, and some of them do die just like active duty soldiers. Is a Guardsmens life worth less? Show respect

@Hoodlumskate my father is in the national guard and he has been over to Afghanistan and Iraq almost 4 times he lost his leg when a roadside bomb went off, he also fought in the gulf war and has been to Turkey so no national guard is extremely hard I have almost lost my dad so many times he helped to clean up the world trade centers and was poisoned and was in the hospital the national guard does have hero's and so does the air force so just shut the fuck up because they are hero's.
