@Taiganost Smash Melee is, by far, the hardest fighting-game to master, no doubt about that (coming from someone who plays Smash, Kof and MvsC2 on tounaments).
Brawl is a fun game I play with my friends. So was Melee and original. They are not competitive Fighting Games. If you want to call it competition it's a competitive party game. Sakurai said it himself.

Brawl's metagame has gone so downhill... While Melee's goes up in terms of speed, tech skill, and combos, Brawl revolves around spacing, mindgames, and camping.
In terms of Falco vs Fox, if they are both equally skilled players, it's an even game. Falco deals heavy combos, and does so easily against Fox because of his fast falling speed. Fox has a lot of killing moves, and his shines are dreadful against Falco. It's all a matter of who hits who first.
@twisted4000 Brawl's not a better game because it has better graphics and music. You don't rate games like that. When it comes to the players, gameplay is what matters most, and I prefer Melee's gameplay to Brawl's anyday. Btw, Melee has pretty good music too.

My qualm with professional smash brothers players, especially those that play with Fox, is that the fighting consists of wave dashing, using down and neutral B, and nothing much else. It seems like they just go through the motions when they play, and aren't as good as casual players, in a way. Not saying a casual player like myself could beat them.
@WTFMAKINGANACCOUNT if a fox player tried to use just down B they would be terrible. You have to use other moves, and the Fox player here clearly uses most of Fox's moves.

Melee and Brawl are two different games. Brawl is slower and requires more patience, whereas Melee requires quicker thinking and allows the user to input commands at a much faster speed. Stop the childish bickering and go play your respective games.

Ike is good for noobs because he has a lot of really powerful smashes that can KO opponents who are not careful (read: pro, good, skillful) at relatively low percentage. But all of Ike's attacks (except a couple that can't KO at all) are extremely slow and easy to dodge/counter. This makes Ike great for noobs because all you have to do is smash around and you'll beat other noobs, but against a pro with skill, you'll have a really hard time.

I personally enjoy melee more as you have to choose your move wisely in order to win. Where as in brawl, you could piss away your lives and get 2 smash balls as sonic and win.
in my opinion melees for people who prefer skill games and intense 1 on 1 matches whereas brawls meant for doing like 4 player matches with your friends because of the slower gameplay
brawl feels too slow and the effects are too overdone imo because they tried to keep the same cartoony feel but they had to improve the graphics somehow

My qualm with professional smash brothers players, especially those that play with Fox, is that the fighting consists of wave dashing, using down and neutral B, and nothing much else. It seems like they just go through the motions when they play, and aren't as good as casual players, in a way. Not saying a casual player like myself could beat them.

Ike is good for noobs because he has a lot of really powerful smashes that can KO opponents who are not careful (read: pro, good, skillful) at relatively low percentage. But all of Ike's attacks (except a couple that can't KO at all) are extremely slow and easy to dodge/counter. This makes Ike great for noobs because all you have to do is smash around and you'll beat other noobs, but against a pro with skill, you'll have a really hard time.
