We were made in God's image and to destroy that image is to destroy God's manifest. If a person commits suicide, he has done nothing but “expedite” his journey to hell. That person who committed suicide will ultimately be in hell for rejecting salvation through Christ. It's hard to pity this because it was not like he got killed he had free will and took his own life...
According to the Bible it is always wrong. Serious doubts should be raised about the genuineness of faith of anyone who claimed to be a Christian yet committed suicide. There is no circumstance that can justify someone, especially a Christian, taking his/her own life. Although it is not describing suicide, 1 Corinthians 3:15 is probably a good description of what happens to a Christian who commits suicide: “He himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.”
I have known the Gunn family for many years. Neil Gunn was a very dedicated, honest, caring, loving, husband, father and police officer. I knew that there was no way he would ever do anything like this unless something HUGE was pressing on him and I mean HUGE. And Now I understand...

Gunn was the dirtiest pig in the trough. His guilt drove him to suicide. Pity the time he planted evidence on ME his conscience wasn't upset a bit.

If you really understood the Bible you would know that committing suicide is a serious sin against God.
