Bases have dorms full of young people ... sometimes with alcohol .. If you are a rapist, you might be able to join the service, but with that kind of character, you won't likely last too long. One reason is in some of the Lands we infiltrate they give kids and women guns and suicide bomb vest. I interested in joining the military and I heard of some cases like this. I just hope when I am inside, I don't want this to happen to me. Also I have a daughter, god I pray that this doesn't happen. What I don't understand is why don't anyone do something about this.
I served in the USAF for 15 years and retired. I was never raped, but did experience verbal harassment on many occasions.
My daughter was molested while attending an on base certified day care, by the husband a TSGT. My AF pediatrician said to switch day care providers and never reported the molestation. As I was promoted came more evil discord with males of equal rank or higher. The culture shock after getting out was high. It took a number of years to deprogram.

Yet, there are reasons for those choices. Joining the military is big decision. People think it through whether it is good for them. If they are athletic, then compared to the less athletic, they may feel more suited to fighting. They may not end up liking it, of course, but that's the choice they made.
So a better conclusion to come to from your made-up statistics would be that there are more men who are athletic enough to be in the military than there are women. So what? There are still women who ARE athletic enough. Perhaps there are more people over 6'0'' that are athletic enough to be in the military. So what? It doesn't and SHOULDN'T mean anything for those under 6'0'' that can meet the standards, as should be the case for women who can.
What I am saying is that those women who are athletic enough can make good soldiers. It is probably less likely than males, but any female interested should be trained.

The sad truth, this women is not lying. The Army has come a long way to improve treatment for women/men who have been raped or assaulted. Also to prevent sexual assault, and rape from ever happening there are mandatory classes for all soldiers discussing how to prevent rape and what to do if it does happen. 3/4 of the women I've served with have either been assaulted, or sexually harassed. I don't ever want to see another DD FORM 2703, and I wish that no other service member has to either.
A while back I picked up one of those "Banned from TV" tapes. One segment was an execution in some Arab country. Two men were guilty of rape of a teenager. The rapists were put up against a wall and the male relatives of the victim lined up in a firing squad with machine guns. The rapists were riddled with bullets. One reason is in some of the Lands we infiltrate they give kids and women guns and suicide bomb vest. They think that women can't handle shooting them so to protect our soldiers they don't let women in. Personally I'll shoot anyone who endangers my Family (Platoon).Your best chance for some action will be as a Military Police or an 88M (Truck Driver. you haul weapons and stuff)

She says its all disrespect, but its really because civilians arent held to standards. They dont go to jail for being late for work, they arent held accountable for much of anything.

I served in the USMC active duty starting in 2000, I now serve with the Army National Guard. I have never seen anything like what these party propaganda agents describe. We have a ton of respect for our sisters in uniform and would probably lynch anybody who did the things the speaker describes.

I served in the USAF for 15 years and retired. I was never raped, but did experience verbal harassment on many occasions.
My daughter was molested while attending an on base certified day care, by the husband a TSGT. My AF pediatrician said to switch day care providers and never reported the molestation. As I was promoted came more evil discord with males of equal rank or higher. The culture shock after getting out was high. It took a number of years to deprogram.

There are many other factors that affect one's strength and power aside from one's sex. Genetics, diet, exercise, etc. play a very large part, and people vary greatly. Women in the military is a social experiment that should have ended decades ago. They are not as strong, have poor endurance and require damn near uninterrupted access to brigade-level hygiene support facilities. It burns my ass that females have to meet lower standards but still draw the same pay.

A Woman fighter pilot doesn't need a 100 pound to carry into an air Campaign to fly combat Jets and she can easily shoot you down just as easy as any man pilot.Especialy when she is an ace.Also Women can make up alot from lack of streingth. Instructors question the masculinity of men, so men feel they must prove and show their masculinity to themselves and others. The most obvious way is to rape a female. This becomes much easier with women in the military.
The way to decrease the occurrence of violence is to stop dehumanizing the personnel. But that decreases the effectiveness of soldiers when they go fight meaningless wars, as they will start thinking ethics when they pull the trigger.

A lot of that goes back to what people believe is appropriate to display in social situations. It's more acceptable for men than women to display anger in social situations for example. And less appropriate for men to display sadness or fear.

I think women should be faring better in war than men and should be soldiers more. Women live longer, commit suicide less and in many cases, women do not hesitate to kill. Also, if you wanted a mass army, women aren't hard to indoctrinate. Women are better at attention to detail in general.

And the statistics tell us very simply that most women don't want that if given the chance not to. Men end up feeling like it is a duty. It is just reality.

I mean your average woman. I am afraid women do not dominate the high-risk fields in general. The statistic shows that they are less likely to want to be infantry. You may blame whatever you want for that, but I can tell you - it just is that way. More men risk their lives. What I said in the beginning is that women should be encouraged as much as males to join the military, and that anyone who wants to risk life for state should do so.
They do the rest of us a favour so there is no draft.

You are correct that stats tell us only of the choices people choose to make.
Yet, there are reasons for those choices. Joining the military is big decision. People think it through whether it is good for them. If they are athletic, then compared to the less athletic, they may feel more suited to fighting. They may not end up liking it, of course, but that's the choice they made.

This debate is getting pretty long. So what was I argueing about? Yes. Why I think more women should join the military more.
We happen to both believe that women should join more, not necessarily because they are female but because they are citizens too and they now increasingly have the means to be as good as anyone.
Google "Girls doing better in school". It is happening in Britain and some schools. Also look up % females in college.

What I AM saying is that for those females who can live up to the same standards expected of males, including becoming physically stronger through training at the same rate required of men, if there is such a requirement, should be able to have the same status. All I'm saying is that the military should be gender-neutral in terms of who is allowed to get whatever position. Gender should not be a factor in any way.

The sad truth, this women is not lying. The Army has come a long way to improve treatment for women/men who have been raped or assaulted. Also to prevent sexual assault, and rape from ever happening there are mandatory classes for all soldiers discussing how to prevent rape and what to do if it does happen. 3/4 of the women I've served with have either been assaulted, or sexually harassed. I don't ever want to see another DD FORM 2703, and I wish that no other service member has to either.

A while back I picked up one of those "Banned from TV" tapes. One segment was an execution in some Arab country. Two men were guilty of rape of a teenager. The rapists were put up against a wall and the male relatives of the victim lined up in a firing squad with machine guns. The rapists were riddled with bullets.
