As a music artist, (new and upcoming hopefully) I credit Tom Shear with influencing my music in many different ways. It was quite an honor when I sitting in my room listening to "Spark", somebody walked in and asked me "is this one of yours?". I just laughed and said no, but that really touched me.
Thank you Mr. Shear, your music has really helped me in so many ways...the only problem is that when I mention the band name nobody knows who I am talking about!!! More people need to know you!
I don't usually talk to bands after shows because all I ever have to say is something cliche like "great show", but I would actually sit and talk to Tom Shear. He just seems like an old friend.
Tom Shear is just fucking brilliant. I've met him in person, he's a chill guy. His music has helped me through so much, especially my anxiety and depression issues. As long as he keeps making music I'll keep listening. Thank you for providing this :-)
Thanx a lot for posting this song on youtube man. Just FYI, the picture at 2:28 belongs to the time when a women was stoned to dead because she was raped!
@StrykerA238 Due to Tom Shear and his publishing company preferring that people actually purchase A23 creations. I'm not saying online sampling is a bad idea via things like youtube. But copyright isn't just some catch all "bullshit".
@sK5Phade ??? what is the difference? you will find this spelling (i=I) on covers (books, cd, dvd....) everywhere:) enjoy the great song and do not be so narrow-minded:)

Bang on...Tom's music is just fantastic and I never tire of it. His lyrics are always insightful and a song for almost every mood.
Right now..relaxing and drifting to Horizon.

@N3ur4logist exactly, Shear's songs cure desperation and feebleness. Definitely deserves a grand respect!

To bad its IMPOSSIBLE to find nearly any Compass songs on Youtube. Everyone I found says it was removed due to some copyright bull crap.

@StrykerA238 Yeah I did have other Assemblage 23 songs on here and they were removed do to that whole copyright thing...

Compass is an incredible album period. Every song is amazing. Good job with the video, but, it's spelled impermanence lol.
