thank you so much for uploading this. this is without a doubt my favorite version of the show, and it's especially good for me since i and my fellow cast members will be doing this play in about a month.
Thank you so much for uploading this! My school is doing this as it's musical this year and I had no idea what it was about. I know what it's about know and I LOVE IT! It is amazing! Thank you so much :)
Thanks for posting this! I really needed it; my school just finished our production of Oklahoma and as stressful as it was I really miss it and want to go back to it. I actually like this version almost as much as ours (and definitely more than the original movie). Everybody told me that if I wanted to watch to show again, this was the one to I should look for, and now I see why :)
Thanks for this awesome upload! I'm playing Laurey at a theater here, and I really needed to watch it. The only problem now is that I'm always going to be unsatisfied with my Curly. Why, oh WHY can't he be Hugh Jackman????? lol
THank god you uploaded this. i had to wacth it for homework, and you can't find it anywhere else. thhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaannnnnnnnkkkkkkkk yyyyyyyyyyyooooooouuuuuu!
this musical is awesome! old but awesome!!! :D im doing it in the drama group i go to. auditions arent until july but i cant wait to see who gets what :D
@midnight0falcon That makes sense. In the opening scene (Part1/18), they started with an aerial shot flying in toward the theater. That was probably done with a helicopter.
@ChicagoSouthDan Yes, the opening shots were done from a helicopter, which is why the closing credits list a helicopter pilot and a helicopter company.
so.....why would they cry for judd? You cant sympathize with him. He goes about pursuing laurie in the wrong ways (showing up drunk to her wedding and attempting to murder curly) same point can be made with the Phantom of the Opera. He wants christine, but kills several people to try to win her over. Anybody disagree? I would like some feedback lol. ...............i do feel bad that judd died under these circumstances
@MrMusicman25 You say "You can't sympathize with him." but you end by saying "I do feel bad that Judd died". Yes, he pursues Laurie in the wrong way, but many people in places where he has lived and worked ridiculed him and treated him as an outcast. That does not justify his actions, but it makes him somewhat sympathetic, a violent but troubled soul. Also, the tears may be a reaction to seeing someone die in a fight, which is not something that most of them have experienced before.
@MrMusicman25 Actually, in looking at this scene again, I don't see anyone crying because they are sorry that Judd is dead. Laurie is crying because she is traumatized because her husband was in a fight in which Judd tried to stab him to death, a fight that was similar to the fight that occurred in her dream in which her husband was choked to death by Judd. The two other ladies shown crying could be crying because of the tragic events. I'm not sure anyone is crying over Judd's death.
@MrMusicman25 I don't think the Phantom kills people to try and win Christine, he does it to keep control of his opera house... I think... well it's definitely not to impress Christine that's for sure.
You can sympathise with the mistreatment Jud received all his life, and that's about it. He tried to kill Curly and force himself on Laurey, I suppose it was a justified ending. At least Curly and Laurey are safe now he's dead.
I love this show, and this had all the things I loved and new things I can love now, amazing !!!!!
