No massive "pool" of oil in Gulf, no need to nuke the hole, no Ch. 11 bankruptcy within 30 days, no enormous second leak 5-10 miles away from the Horizon site, no third leak 30 miles away from the site, no unrecoverable ecological disaster destroying the entire Gulf of Mexico. These were all lies screamed by Simmons. Why?

He held short positions on these companies and stood to profit from the devaluation of their stock. I dont think anyone realises what has happened here. We have had a catostrophic break in the earths crust, some say caused by the LHC in Switzerland. The sinkhole that appeared in China is on the exact oppostie side of the world to the gulf leak. This was not a broken rig, that is what the government is saying until they figure out what to really tell us. I have studied many oil rig leaks in the past, there is not one drilling operation in the world that could leak the amount this has so fast.

Matt Simmons is very reputable, and when he says something, you better believe it....and yet here it is, June 12th, and nothing has been done that needs to be done. Fug BP, we need to get the govt on this, and they need to be listening to people like Matt Simmons.
I shudder to think of what's going to happen when the first hurricane hits, because that shit is still going to be spewing.
So there is a secondary plume 6 miles from the live shot that we have been seeing, which is just the broken end of the riser (which is the "tube" which takes the oil up to the rig). The rig blew up, sank, and pulled the riser across the sea bed. The actual well head on the bottom of the sea floor has been venting since the explosion and we've never seen pictures of that. We need to get in there with our Navy and engineers, and use tactical nukes to seal the bedrock.
I wish people would just stop pointing fingers and just fix the problem and settle their differences later. Explosives have been widely used for decades, most famously by Red Adair, to extinguish oil and gas fires by rapidly pushing away the fire and oxygen. In other words, they can be used to “blow out” the fire. But they don’t stop the oil and gas coming out of the well.

This will most likely increase the cost of gas. I'm not looking forward to $4.00 a gallon simply because a couple of petroleum companies see an opportunity to capitalize on a disaster. On a related note, this may speed up research on cleaner methods of energy.

How does he know that other than reading about some ship that located some underwater oil which may have just floated from he well site?

I dont think anyone realises what has happened here. We have had a catostrophic break in the earths crust, some say caused by the LHC in Switzerland. The sinkhole that appeared in China is on the exact oppostie side of the world to the gulf leak. This was not a broken rig, that is what the government is saying until they figure out what to really tell us. I have studied many oil rig leaks in the past, there is not one drilling operation in the world that could leak the amount this has so fast.

So there is a secondary plume 6 miles from the live shot that we have been seeing, which is just the broken end of the riser (which is the "tube" which takes the oil up to the rig). The rig blew up, sank, and pulled the riser across the sea bed. The actual well head on the bottom of the sea floor has been venting since the explosion and we've never seen pictures of that. We need to get in there with our Navy and engineers, and use tactical nukes to seal the bedrock.

Explosives have been widely used for decades, most famously by Red Adair, to extinguish oil and gas fires by rapidly pushing away the fire and oxygen. In other words, they can be used to “blow out” the fire. But they don’t stop the oil and gas coming out of the well.
Does anybody remember the US military blowing up caves in Afghanistan in late 2001? What do you get when you put explosives in a cave? A bigger cave.

@marzolian yes their explanation and terminology is disturbing. I though that Simmons said, in another news piece with Bloomberg, that the Russians, when they had blowouts, used nuke charges placed in the well but far below the ground's surface, to collapse the whole oil well hole to seal it. He said something quite different here which did sound quite stupid to me. I see little other sources corraborating this version? WHY NOT? Are these guys way off base?

What are they smoking? Simmons is an investor, a finance guy. He must know something about the technology but it sure doesn’t come across here.
Ponzi says that the casing was installed without O-rings. That makes no sense: casing is installed as a series of metal tubes threaded together, There are no O-rings in a casing string.
They say, put a tanker above the spill. What will they use to get oil out of the water into the tanker? “Smart pipe”? What the heck is that?

My intuition is telling me we are not being told the truth whatsoever on what is truely unfolding with this event. Its been my experiance that the power of distraction is a tool commenly used on the masses.....in this case they have shown us the live streaming images of a leak they want us to see and focus on...so much that the cable news channels have it on nonstop in the sidebar, but what I think we should be asking, is what is going, that they arent speaking about....something isnt right.

The cone would be positioned wiv the bloody use of submersibles such that the cone tip would be inserted into a break at the top of the pipe; a submersible wiv a jackhammer apparatus would attach itself ter the top of the cone and lightly jackhammer the bloomin' openin' in the bloomin' pipe till the cone could be tilted into a plumb position; then jackhammer the chuffin' cone into the chuffin' pipe till it is wedged into place.

These leaks could have been stopped immediately by detonating a nuclear charge within the well bore. The Russians have done this 6 times, with 100% success!
I think what we have here is a situation where BP wants to keep this well active. They're basically trying to "save" the well - not plug it off.
