  • i love noodles

  • I've never heard a psychedelic version of "Shave and a Haircut" before.

  • that s sound is absolutely unique !

hauting and beautiful at the same time

    congratulations

  • reminds me of some Gong music:)

  • Now that makes the Tron Mello. Very Tangerine Dream. Fantastic. Great Vids you have there Tronfan.

  • Is your real name Bill by any chance?

  • What a strange machine..

  • Fantastic stuff tronfan66. I bought my old EMI 400 Mellotron in 1986 for £270. It broke down the very same night I bought it...I was distraught! I had just turned 19 at the time and yearned for a mellotron since first hearing of them a few years before (in all the usual places). Got it working again eventually...didn`t last long. Still have it though, just needs a complete overhaul!

  • Thanks Johnnywr - quite a coincidence there as well, I bought my first M400 in 1986 aged 19 (from the back of the Melody Maker). Didn't quite conk out on the first night I had it, it waited until the first gig I took it out on and just made a disgruntled whirr throughout the *big solo*! Thankfully I've been much luckier with this one. Sounds like you should get yours restored by Streetly Electronics one of these days, they restore old 400s as well as make new 'trons.

  • You are the lucy guy, using the real thing!

    Lucky you!

  • sounds like something from blade runner

  • Great sounds. Reminds me of so much of the great prog stuff.

  • Great video! but watching it made me think someone had spiked my diet coke and i was in a major trip lol

  • Fantastic. How much did your Mello cost ya?

  • Thanks - it cost me £300, but that was in 1989!

  • Hello Tony!

Great stuff. I like the phone visual effects as well. Next time I'd like to see you in a Rick Wakeman gold shiny cape and with a full lightshow on you!

You can be the mellotron equivalent Liberace.

Love N. ( keep posting stuff ....sorry if I am taking the piss! It's not meant maliciously!)

  • N! Hello, glad you enjoyed - you're quite right about the mellotron equivalent of Liberace, I may have found my calling there - I've got a gold crown on one tooth so maybe I could grin to camera and shine a torch on that for added glitz in future videos. Or failing that just use one of our bath towels and throw it over my shoulders Wakeman cape-style! Actually, listening to this again reminded me of our unforgettable cover of "The End" :) - love T x
