I was ther imn Munich in the first line at the stage! I was 17 years old and i was there to see Ritchie . But when Ronnie began to sing it was so awesome ! What a voice !

Rainbow 1975-1978 with Ronnie was the absolutely best Rainbow . I like the other formations also because of the songs! Doogie White did a good job . Think he was underrated , but in my opinion he is after Ronnie the best vocalist from Rainbow ! But Rainbow 75-78 rules !!!

Rainbow on stage.I had the lp when I was 6 years old and absolutely loved it.I was thrilled later to hear dio had joined sabbath and i saw him with sabbath in 84 boston garden.My first show,I was16.

Cracked the bouncers' jaw with those huge platform shoes.....lol. Apparently the bouncer was roughing up a young girl at the front of the stage and Ritchie didn't take too kindly to that so he let him have it in the mouth.

An awesome performance, considering this concert didn't start until midnight or thereabouts. Ritchie Blackmore had just gotten out of jail in Austria and had to be driven to Germany for this performance. He was still wearing the same clothes he had on when he was busted for kicking a bouncer in the face (from the stage) during a concert a couple days previous to this.

@RltchieI Sorry. I saw Dio three times (unfortunately not with Rainbow). Loved his voice, and he was a great performer; but, can't put him at number 1 because I saw Queen and Freddie was the very best of all. That's my opinion. If I were talking about drummers, keyboardists, bass guitarist or lead guitarists I would let it go at that; but, vocals is my area of expertise. Die hard Dio fan just the same.

Agreed I've seen them all live and Dio is the most versatile and talented rock singer / song writer ever after Freddie Mercury IMO.

Blackmore is under-rated also
