Ok...I appreciate this from an actor/director's stand point...But I really think this number was too scattered to appreciate the whole objective of the scene! There were clearly too many people doing the choreography...and each move wasn't specific...which made most of the number very sloppy! The voices were good....but it seemed like they were only out to just sound good than to act...this is just my opinion....and I actually like Grease.

My school is doing this is or our spring musical this year. I am playing Danny :].. i like how they did this. Very talented cast. however, i don't think the Choreographer did well with keeping the illusion of two separate scenes at once.

Fantastic choreography and good directing. Poor poor poor vocals, lacked punch and energy. Vocal coach/musical director should have worked on this scene, especially as its one of the most iconic in the whole musical.

the vision of the song is that its a fantasy back to when they first met, so when they're together, it's just them remembering each other. the entire song is just one big fantasy sequence. does that make any sense?

grease is the most popular musical in history. everyone knows theyre talking about each other in the song. it was just the choreographer's idea, and i think it worked just fine. you still see them see each other for the first time 2 minutes later.

The Eugene stuff is a bit overkill. The noise he makes when he falls down distracts from the song. Cute Sandy though :)

well, i played Eugene in this, and I'm not sure I know what you mean by the sound I made when I fell. The only time I fell during this song was when we did the bowling bit. It's fine that you thought I was overkill though, that's just the very nature of the character, and that's how I was directed. To each his own I suppose.

We're actually all the appropriate ages of the characters. The majority of the cast, including the leads, were either going to be seniors in the fall, or had just graduated high school (we did this in the summer). Glad you like it so much! :)

Well actually this was a community theatre production. The director decided to use actors who were actually the ages of the characters. All of the principals were either going to be juniors, seniors or had just been seniors (it was in the summer). And, of course, we had adults playing adult roles. I'm glad you liked it though! :)
