Male lions are not lazy (yes I know they sleep a lot) and no the female lions (lionesses) should not be the ones that take the title as king of the beasts it is apporpriate that the male lion gets that title. Male lions DO help with the hunt when power is needed to take down the larger prey but the lionesses have to catch them first (makes perfect sense if your not too naive). The male lion also protects the pride against intruders and from other predators who try to take the hard earned meals!

yes men do, but male lions would be the equivalent to let's say... wrestlers?, while female lions would be similar to sprinters. they end up adapting to different functions within the pride, as pride males get older they become less active in hunting and so they lose some of their condition, besides being much heavier. thats what I meant =P

A lion can run up to 50 mph? How stupid is this show? A lioness can only run up to 35 mph, unlike humans where the male is usually faster, stronger, and heavier the male lion is not faster.
why would you compare a lion to a person? lions naturally build their muscle, and most of them all follow a certain way of living. Some people will just train something specific if they feel like it, it doesn't matter weather the person's male or female anymore, it just depends on weather they train their speed more or less than someone else.
