  • Despite how great of a video this is, the only thing that initially caught my attention was "semen" lmfao

  • Style DOES NOT = footwork and tops,

Power DOES NOT = flares and windmills, let me explain:

style= character of dance,- you can add character into footwork or your airmoves, things like the python or the truck driver, these are some characters that were used early on. powermoves is misunderstood, incorrect term.. power is a style, you can have power style footwork, like air4steps and other certain transitions- airmoves = long combinations of moves which keep you rotating.

  • @bboystrech finally someone who understands me..

  • Overpowered by Funk- The Clash.

    You're welcome.

  • whats the name of the second song dey battle to ?

  • fail at people liking breakdancing vs bboying.... THis is all bboying just different decoding of the dance

  • well powermove is good but always its better the style doing footwork so this demonstrate that style vs power the winner is style

  • All Very Good at what they do. I respect both sides they practiced something that they liked from the dance and got very good at it :p I would think we can all understand that

  • Katsu hit the beat perfectly :)

  • OOOOOO this was in 2007. no wonder the crowd liked kaku in this video

  • imma have to defend kaku and aichi on this one because you stylehead assholes have to always to be bitching about powerheads and spinboy's doing the same shit and that power can NEVER win...it's true and i understand why u guys find it boring...but also look at it this way, not everyone aims to win, people like kaku and aichi breaks limits & variety..i dont think ANY stylehead would've gotten world record for headspins, just respect what they do best, stop the bitching, stop being narrow-minded

  • @ClaytonChan

Honestly though, Boredom is not a good excuse why a powermove should lose.

  • @JinKazama92 i AGREE!!...never thought of it that way either ;) thanks

  • @ClaytonChan Yo it's not that there being narrow-minded, their just pointing out the fact that as far as a battle goes, it gets repetitive, however looking at it from another point of view there just doin what they love to do out in public, all four of them. its just that what aichi and kaku do dont always realy translate into an epic battle.

  • @ClaytonChan your name should be "playdohtan" not "Clayton"

  • @sn299 lol, why? =(

  • @ClaytonChan Read my exp below pls :) THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS STYLE VS POWER, thats a state of mind that we need to eradicate.. There is no such thing as 'stylehead' or powerhead, you can do alot of footwork or you do alot of airmoves- style is something else il explain. There are many that do airmoves with style, look at ez rock, kwikstep, Evo is a great example- and maybe you could even say bboy Blond- cus he does add his character into his airmoves.. peace , The Bronx Boys 1975

  • I thought this was a bboy battle? Not a spin on your head contest. Kaku and Aichi need helmets to handle zulus. Phht.

  • @BboyKidKarmaTV actually they do lol dont mess with the zulus bro

  • power vs all around how u ganna judge that

  • They should have had more musicality with their headspins. Otherwise Katsu was killing them with his musicality.

  • @Swafnir89 not for them

  • oh man, tis is the 1 which inspire me the most since 3years ago.

  • let this be a lesson, that all power dosent mean you'll always win

  • woah, before kaku was ridiculous

  • LOL @5:15

  • Did they plan on dancing in this battle? Was there a mix up in what type of battle this was supposed to be?

Personally I give it to Ness and Katsu, but who won??

  • Dick riding..

    fair game please..

  • lol, Ness king of footwork in america, Katsu king of footwork in Japan, all they need is born, king of footwork in korea

  • @KnowIdeaxPoppinCRS nah man they need redfoot from korea he is the true king

  • @KnowIdeaxPoppinCRS look at keebz or puzzles then tell me ness is king bra

  • why pplz dissing on headspins? its their foundation its like saying the end does too much flares which he does but its his foundation its like katsu does too much footwork but its his foundation dnt be dissing if u look closely footwork repeats a lot besides i bet one on one with kaku or aichi they'll smoke u

  • the endless battle between power and style...or should i say headspins and flavour.

  • omg do more than head spins

  • sooo much dick riding on alieness' side.

  • dick riderz in the house.

  • i wa smore impressed by aichis moves but agree he needs to mix it up with more moves to make it intresting but he can learn that not so sure ness pulled anything impressive off. goes to show you gotta practice to be the best. the asians are sendin a message to the original latino and black boys ....step up yo game..Im black and I say asians won dis. I give em props for keepin the artform tight.

  • if you wanna powerhead you gotta have some variety. or its pointless. its just boring to just headspin the whole time. doesnt show you got any moves or style.

  • Kaku does some really nice toprocking for a pure powerhead, let alone spinking. Katsu tore that shit uppp! I wish bboy Machine had stepped in lol

  • @smeerios Lol YESS but then but then fairness would have been pushed even farther away

  • ness suckin 4 a long time !

  • katsu is the motherfucking truth

  • katsu style looks like hong 10s

  • @MrBboysh8ks lol.. and you are on crack! haha j/k

    but seriously? O.o

  • The guy in the red needs o get the fck out, he looks fkn stupid

  • @ClocCStoP Pretty sure the guy in red is bboy machine....check his vids....he'd probably smoke everybody in this vid...

  • @bboySW556 it is

  • @ClocCStoP thats machine

  • Kaku and Aichi have nice power but sure did crash a lot, whereas Katsu and Ness were clean and on point. Very good battle.

  • FIRST SONG name plz...??!!!!!

  • it's not about style - it's about dance

"real shit y'all" enough said, nothing more

Ness 4 real, thank you guys for being independent of all that crap

  • BREAK DANCE VS BBOYING

  • ness and katsu beat them end of discussion!

  • the headspin and shit are so sick but there is not style

  • powermoves are cool and everything but footwork toprock and style are the best

  • ness did as many six steps as aichi did headspins

  • @NCTN99, he never does six steps

  • Was this the B1 in 2004?

  • dis battle always cracks me up its no way kaku n aichi were gonna win but dey still did wat dey wanted to do headspins lol i think people should be able to dance however dey want including on their head

  • lol helmets....

  • alien ness el mejor

  • all aichi did was headspin he had a disadvantage

  • HAHAHAHAHAA machine is hella funny towards the end HHWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • aichi's toprock was nice and smooth... if you don't see tht peel ur eyes

  • 1) doing only 2-3 variations of toprock on beat is nothing

    2)cypher cup 3....bBoy BelvuDiir...be there

  • my bad, i meant kaku, but i hven't seen all his stuffs, so i can't tell if he only has few variations in toprock..

  • @zusamin

nice and smooth? katsu's toprock was great tho

  • Katsu and ness fucking smoked the niggas man! This was like power vs style man shit...

  • @rockxmania

first one is CAN - vitamin c

  • @mbaldoz hey bro post the name of the 2 song please bro.

  • 1: 57 aichi's top rock!!!!! hi tried make something but he couldn't kaku at least have top rock... aichi isnt a b boy...

  • aichi toprock hello footrock?¿¿ xd

  • Katsu and Ness won no doubt. Kaku only had nice power, no style and Aichi wasn't even b-boying.

  • @ItsKJae i don´t knoe why people make powermovers always bad. They practise so much and work so hard and many people only write "no style". okay that´s right but kaku isn´t a styler so what do you expect? And by the way, I liked his toprocks in his first set ;-)

  • His toprocks may have been good but just compare that to Katsu and Ness' whole sets. And sure powermovers work hard but if that's all they can do and they can't even hit the beat, that's not even dancing.

  • is anyone ever gonna find out the 2nd song?!?!?!?!?!

  • hahah nevermind...i know it now

  • the first sereies opf spins done by kaku was pretty aweswome but otherwise id say the other team was a lot better

  • Katsu was SICK

  • Funny LOlz the headspin team -.-''

  • foundation vs power... why does aichi where a helmet whats he doin with this life..

  • @sourskittles772

Nigga thinks that he's going bike riding.

  • 5:12 crazy nigga in red

  • thz bboy machine

  • hahahahaha That's bboy machine

  • The guys on the left only had headspins! No style! just because the crowd is cheering for something dynamic to watch doesn't mean you should win.You can't blame them because the media made breakin into a gymnastic eye candy exploit. They didn't push the fact you can actually catch the beat at the right time & have the same impact as a headspin or windmill...In terms of what Breakin represents Ness & Katsu wins,if it was a headspin battle the other 2 would win

  • well they do have some style.. pulling variations . the battle was more like a power vs style battle

  • Im feeling that my brother, thats why i took a few years off power to learn style and flavor. Theres just so much u can do with style, endless.

  • @funkman70

Couldn't have said it better myself. It's like comparing apples to oranges. It's funny how one side did absolutely all power moves, and the other side nothing but footwork. It would have been nice to see both sides do both disciplines, then a real winner could have been determined.

  • ness is wack kaka totally owned them.

  • who did the judges choose, anyway?

  • some one got scraped...and sure as hell wasn't my man ness.

  • style vs power

  • 2nd song please, anyone?

  • aichi's not even a bboy...y is he in these competitions?

  • Bboying ain't about powermoves and spinning around only... I'd call you a fool.. But you're probably new to bboying...

  • Um.. Okay.. I won't waste my time.. So.. Good luck and have fun..

  • whats your bboy name? What crew are you in?

  • man !! wtf 0.0

  • i agree im not a fan of ness but ness n machine vs kaku n aichi yea i agree usa take but i kinda agree with the othr guy but u kan only do so mouch ness iz an og bboy lol

  • Kaku & Aichi will be dead by now if it's ness and machine....lol

  • alieness does the same shit make a video of him same aichi does headspin kaku style is wak his power is creative but not clean katsu did the best n im not even a fan of that guy

  • WHAts the SONG from 2:30???

  • this battle wasnt even close LOL katsu and alien ness did work on dem

  • so this battle is powermove vs style i say style wins cause power you repeat your stuff unless you combo it with different stuff

  • kaku is def the best in this video. he takes them all out imo

  • he hardly took anyone out.

  • LOL hell no! katsu and alieness just straight up pwned him! alienness FTW

  • anyone got the name of thsi song?

  • call what ya wanna call people havin fun shit talk! blablabla

    that ain't bboyin! PERIOD!

thats just actin like a monkey!

if ya wanna have fun go head to the circus! shiittt

  • don't understand why bboys get props by a battle only doing HEADSPIN!

    Monkeys

  • i think born is one of the judges. The one in the white shirt with the letter B on it, i've seen him wear that shirt be4 i think

  • jajaja i was waiting machine go into the battle...

  • sounds like bboy casper

    is the camera guy

  • damn i love katsu's style.

  • whats the second song called

  • 1:32-1:34

    pretty much sums it up

  • It should be a crime to go through a whole battle doing headspin variations. Anyway, props to all the bboys, coz @ the end of the day they all got skillz. Peace!

  • Dancing is what ever you want it to be. ppl express themselves in different ways. True that BBoy = "Beat Boy" but it doesnt mean u hav to b on beat all the time. it just means u dance to a beat. just cuz someone only does 1 move doesnt mean theyre not dancing. Powerheads only do power, styleheads do style moves, headspinners or spinboys do headspins and some ppl do everything. tht the joy of dancing and bboying.

  • "break* boy"

explain to me how you express yourself through headspins.

  • bboy most def. stands for beat boy. breakdancing is a term the media came up with. its not legit. learn your history. and the joy of dancing is tht you can do watever u want. if u decide to go in a cypher and hold a baby freeze for 2min straight thts up to you. but "there is no specific format for individuality" and thts y bboying is so unique in itself. because it allows for everyone to be different. u cant be mad at someone for dancing a certain way. u dont hav 2 agree but just leave it at tht

  • theres a difference between individuality and bboying. holding a babyfreeze? thats not individuality. its like learning a fresno in popping and spamming it - you are doing a STAMPED MOVE. what adds the individuality that is essential to bboying (but obviously you need more than just individuality) is how you take the moves and add your creativity onto it.

africaka bambaattaa "You got the BBoys, and Bgrirls, what you call the Break Boys, and Break girls." maybe you should learn your history.

  • uh thts just a song. seriously dude. just ask some pros like Toyz, Machine, mijo, or yust or ne one. look man im done argueing obviously we both arent going to change our perspectives so w.e.

  • lol if an OG talks about the origin of a term, i trust him over new gen, even if its via song.

even if i am wrong, beat boy still means you need to be dancing to the beat. you said the joy of dancing is whatever you want it to be. dancing has to be to music. how is doing just headspins or holding a baby freeze dancing then? how does it allow people to understand how you feel? it doesnt. so its not expression. im not telling anyone how to express themselves, i'm just defining the word for you.

  • look dude i already said its over. i dont wanna argue any more. ur not gonna change ur belief and im not gonna change my belief so lets just agree to disagree. ok?

  • i almost feel that u dick ride this MZK foundation bandwagon. because, it exists.

doing headspins could be expression of the beat. u can do some funny shit wit ur feet. that constitutes as hitting the beat.

  • nah ive seen huge mzk dick riding on bboyworld, its wack. i support foundation and expanding bboying through creativity.

doing headspins and kicking on beat would be dope, it would be an expression of the beat, but they weren't doing that. they were just doing headspin variations and other power, which is tight but its only a splice of bboying.

kaku does have good tops, but doing headspins every rd is like doing 6stepover and over... unless ur doing it to the beat, its not that great.

  • the media didnt just pull "break" out of their asses and call it a day. they got it from somewhere.

and after all, bboying is a dance, which means you go to the music (specifically, the breaks in the song). even if it was "beat boy", the name of the dance itself (let alone the heritage behind it and the obvious 4 elements) suggest that you must move with the music. doing your own style to the music - THATS how you express yourself.

spinboys are dope for what they do. but its not expression.

  • ok i dont care what u say but ur wrong. bboy stands for beat boy. didnt u ever watch planet bboy? ne way watever man just saying dont tell someone how to express themselves. PEACE

  • btw if u can explain how ANYONE expresses themsevels through dancing then u've answered u own question.

  • since headpins are a breakdance move... u just kinda made an oxymoron

  • wat are u talking about?

  • ... To be honest, you can actually still be dancing even if it doesn't seems like it's to a beat. People have done dances to complete silence. Where's the beat in that? No one person can constitute what dancing really is, in the end.

  • Lol you're right in wrong..some dances they are what you say, but in b-boying, its all about the music..whether you follow it in steps, power, style, freezes, whatever. In my opinion, b-boying is your expression on how you flow with the music and how well you can interpret it in a variety of movements, being accurate and detailed to the smallest beat, as well as creative, original, and non-repetitive. But breakin has developed with its own charisma and set of moves unique like no other dance.

  • nice username..."semen"

  • Okay guys. EVERYTHING THEY DO IS A BBOY MOVE. Its just kaku has no damn style just power.

Kid ness/ Katsu sooo fucken took this.

Left side: all power no style

  • windashoter:

style is not footwork, toprock. style is the characteristic of a bboy, how he dances and wat makes him special shit like that.

kaku has unique toprock. i think, with his headspin variations, that that constitutes his style. he does less footwork, but he has style. get it right.

i've seen better from kid ness and katsu.

  • just the fact that they are letting eachother battle is good. How many times have we saw Diss's and clowning when power meets styles in battles. much respect here-dope

  • gotta agree wit fantoostico man kaky really evolvin, dont hate on his style headspin is his style diff bboys got diff styles n yall respect that, but yea kaku def beeen evolvin wit his shit so he jus aint headpin tha whole time and yagotta agree his toprock is sicker than most bboys, if only hed put in some bottom

  • headspining is not a dance fact same as jumping its just a movement if its not on beat its not dancin their is no rhythm in it the guy cant even do the fuckin basics in bboyin i dnt call that bboyin its just a move

  • i consider jumping iitself daning plenty of people do that at dances

  • yh but this is wat im saying on its own its just a movement linked with other things on a rhythm or beat in breakin like linkin and combos with the foundations then your breakin but tht ideot dnt get it cuz i dont think he understands english cuz i had to repeat about fuckin three times and he still didnt get it anyways i aint no internet bboy i dnt post vids i just break in real chyphers

  • i didnt say headspinning is A style i said it was his style, headspins are a bboy move incorporated into the sets so obviously kaku centers around the headspin into different variations, hence, his style, jus like ronnie with the swipes, swipes aint a style, but its a move that u can center around and make variations with

  • kaku and aichi can do basics in bboying.

    get it right.

    faceless.

  • No hate to Kaku and Aichi.. But they have misunderstood that Bboying isn't only Headspin.. Headspin is a dope move, Yes. And they are dope to it, yes.. but if you cant uprock, toprock or anykind of style at all.. then dont battle... specially not a guy like Ness' ... then stay in the Circus!.. Peace out.

  • Aichi doesn't claim to be a bboy... if you look at his vids, he's always labeled under "spinboy," which is obviously different from a bboy, so it's not like he fronts as an amazing bboy or anything. I'm sure Kaku uses some style, but the way he's changed up the powermove game is sick with the many variations he uses and has made up, so isn't that a part of bboy culture as well? Oh, and Kaku can toprock, he's good. We understand how much Ness has brought to bboying, but get off his dick.

  • and you get off kaku's. thats not dancing fuckin hi hop covered all elements music art and dance bboying is a dance doing headspins not a dance so fuckin understand he can do his one move all day id smoke this guy and i no a thousand more tht can

  • Hmmm... where are your videos bro? That's right, you're faceless, let's see you battle people like Ness, Katsu, Kaku, and Aichi, and then you can "claim" that you can beat them. You also missed some of the elements of Hip Hop, such as Graffiti, Djing, Mcing, etc. Headspins are a move that is a part of bboying, so I would say that it's classified as bboying. So now windmills, airflares, 6-steps, and any other move that's named isn't a move. Settle down doggie, you mad?

  • cant you fuckin understand english i sed hip hop covers all elements wtf is djing its music same as emcee wtf is graff its art what the fuk is dance breakin fuckin read dumbass and i neva sed anythin about ness or katsu il sayin someone that dose only one type of moves wont last very long plus its not dancing if its not on beat and i never sed head spin or power isnt breakin it is but when ppl like them over use it it just becomes comercial and i dont class that as dancin

  • Ha, how are you going to school me on the elements of Hip Hop when you don't even know them? You're a joke kid. And because they only did headspins in those battles, they're not dancers at all? I believe I saw Kaku dancing. Aichi may have just been spinning, but he calls himself a "spinboy," which is what I said earlier. Shut up

  • are you dumb i got a fuckin facebook page dedicated to the four main elements of hip hop you just dnt fuckin understand english i said that hip hop covers all diffrent things in todays culture for fuck sakes read. and yh its not dancing if its not on beat im just tlkin about this video hes not doin anythin else just head spins

  • Because the REAL bboys dedicate facebooks and myspace pages to the elements of hip-hop!!! E-boy. Anyways, so now you're saying that every time someone misses a beat with footwork they're not dancing? Look at Redfoot! He has possibly the DOPEST footwork in the game, but if you actually look, he hardly listens to the music except for the most obvious beats. Oh, and he's in MZK, which your boy Ness is PRESIDENT of. Quiet down now.

  • what so cuz im a bboy i cant have a life i cant have a facebook page i have my fans rite oh you wuldnt no sorry lol. anyways if you look at it those two didnt hit any fuckin beats at all f.y.i their not dancing to dance you need rythm in breakin i dunno about this redfoot im just sayin in genarel its not dancin its a sick move but on its own its like me jst jumpin up and down and doin nothin else and call tht dancin

  • fantoostico was saying e-boys dedicate their myspace/facebook to the four elements... real bboys just do their thing and live hip hop in their life.

and dont school someone on english when your typing like shit.

  • yh thts the thing ive alwaysed been in hip hop i graffiti i break i used to emcee i never dj bt dats the onli thing i never did. all im sayin is tht im mad at the power movers mostly beacuse like rap they made hip hop noticeable but at same time nt as a movement but on its own and it gets comercialized everyone thinks breakin is headspins and handstands no one knows tht theirs more two it then spinnin all day ppl need to lern its a dance seriousli i never sed they shit their sick

  • they put hella dedication and work into their training and practice. So what if they battle bboy legends likes ness. Their should be no negativity in it.

  • sooo SICK i think MZK took this one though

  • no, fuck u

  • agreed, fuck you

  • lol aichi didnt even toprock this battle

  • Love aichi and kaku but they got ass raped

  • power vs style
