Quon called me this morning about one of these , i said go for it because it's one of the very few of these types of casios (or maybe the only one ) that has an adjustable filter let alone an analog one, cant wait to try it out,
@The2010SnowDay i had this toy boombox called the "star studio" that came with a little mic and was designed such that you could play a tape in one deck, and dub that to the other deck while adding either the mic or a line signal to it. so i plugged my casio into that, recorded the drums and the bass line, then played that tape back and added the trumpets, then played THAT tape back and added the lead line, etc. it was a common way to do "multi track" recording before 4-tracks became affordable.
This song is amazing. I want a whole CD of this stuff and then I want to play it in my car with the windows rolled down up and down a busy street. You should sell CDs, man!
This is back when Casio made good keyboards, for their time. Nowadays, it seems that Casio's low-end keyboards are crappy for todays standards, and cheaply made. I still have my first 2 Casio keyboards I got as a kid (I believe it was Christmas '84 and then '85). The second was my favorite, which utilized Casio's first line of voice sampling keyboards :).
